The core principle of WETA is to empower women globally. Over the years, girls and women have been directed to what they should do and how they should live their lives. Through WETA we would like to change that by creating opportunities for young girls and women and thereby achieve their dreams without the fear of any barriers. A tragic road accident occurred on Friday morning in the outskirts of Nagaram village, Narsimhulapet Mandal, Mahbubabad District. A vehicle transporting daily-wage chilli laborers from Charlapalem and Fatepuram mandals lost control near Nagaram and overturned. Ms. Gudelli Aruna of Charlapalem was killed instantly, and seventeen other labourers sustained serious injuries. The injured were rushed to the Mahbubabad Area Hospital for treatment. On her return from visiting the victims at the hospital, Ms. Jhansi Rajender Reddy personally inspected the accident site to assess the situation.

Death Anniversary

A grand commemoration was held at the MLA Camp Office in Palakurthi to mark the 75th death anniversary of Telangana Armed Struggle hero Sri Thanunayak. The ceremony was graced by Palakurthi MLA Smt. Yasaswini Reddy and Constituency In-Charge Smt. Jhansi Rajender Reddy as the chief guests. Speaking on the occasion, MLA Yasaswini Reddy paid tribute, stating that Sri Thanunayak played a pivotal role in the Telangana Armed Struggle, valiantly fighting for the rights of the people even in the most challenging times.

Death Anniversary

On the 75th death anniversary of Telangana Armed Struggle martyr Jatoth Thanu Naik, Palakurthi Constituency In-Charge Smt. Jhansi Rajender Reddy paid floral tributes at his statue located at Girni Tanda Junction. Addressing the gathering, she recalled Thanu Naik’s fearless resistance against the oppressive Nizam regime, feudal landlords, and bonded labour system, fighting valiantly for land, livelihood, and liberty. She emphasised that the freedoms enjoyed today are a result of such heroic sacrifices. Urging the public to draw inspiration from his legacy, she called for raising awareness about his movement and continuing to uphold the values of self-respect and independence he stood for.

Birth Anniversary

On the occasion of the 88th birth anniversary of senior Congress leader and former minister of Andhra Pradesh, Sri Duddilla Sripada Rao, a grand commemorative event was held at Ravindra Bharathi. Birth Anniversary

On the occasion of the 286th birth anniversary of Sri Sri Sri Sant Sevalal Maharaj, the tribal community of Palakurthi Mandal organised a grand rally filled with fervour and devotion. Constituency In-Charge Smt. Jhansi Rajender Reddy attended the ten-day memorial ceremony of Smt. Kommuri Satamma, mother of Janagama District DCC President and former MLA Shri Kommuri Pratap Reddy. The Bathukamma festival, organized by the Women Empowerment Telugu Association (WETA), was held in a traditional and cultural manner with great pomp and show.

Distribution of groceries

In 2023, WETA extended its services by providing groceries to schools for the visually impaired, uniforms for children with special needs, a fully equipped craft room, sewing machines for livelihood support, and various other impactful initiatives.
