Guntagani Pethuru
Founder and State President of Dalit Farmers SC, ST & BC Minority Welfare Society, Buddareddypalli, Peda Cherlopalli, Prakasam, Andhra Pradesh.
I, Guntagani Pethuru, born on the 10th of October 1957 in the humble hamlet of Buddareddypalli to revered parents Sri Guntagani Ramaiah and my beloved mother, extend to you my most sincere salutations. Nurtured amidst the sacred simplicity of rural soil, I imbibed from childhood the immutable virtues of rectitude, resilience, and an indomitable spirit of service that have since become the cornerstone of my existence.
My journey commenced in 1981 when I pledged allegiance to the Indian National Congress, galvanised by an unquenchable thirst for justice and equitable progress. For over four decades, I have remained an unwavering sentinel of Congress ideology, rising in 2009 to the distinguished responsibility of State Co-ordinator of the Scheduled Castes Department, a testament to relentless organisational endeavour and fidelity to the marginalised.
In 2012, I ventured into entrepreneurship by establishing Kalyani Travels, thereby generating livelihoods while never once diluting my commitment to public welfare. Yet the clarion call of the voiceless led me in 2015 to found the Andhra Pradesh Dalit Farmers SC, ST & BC Minority Welfare Society, an institution that today stands as a formidable bulwark defending land rights, dignity, and socio-economic emancipation of the most deprived agrarian communities across thirteen districts.
From resolving ration and pension anomalies to reclaiming encroached Dalit lands, from spearheading Swachh Bharat and Haritha Haram initiatives to shielding victims of atrocities in Pamuru, P.C. Palli, C.S. Puram, and Veligandla mandals, my every action has been guided by an uncompromising allegiance to justice. During the harrowing COVID-19 pandemic, I stood resolute—distributing medicines, groceries, and sustenance, sanitising villages, and bolstering frontline warriors—ensuring no soul in distress was forsaken.
This portal is not merely a digital archive; it is a solemn covenant between a son of the soil and the people he holds dear. With your unwavering trust and divine benevolence, I pledge to persist as an unwavering guardian of the oppressed, a tireless architect of inclusive prosperity, and an eternal sentinel of truth and equity.
