Gundlapalli  Bharath Goud is an Indian Politician of BRS and Vice Sarpanch of Yadagirigutta Village at Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District from the Indian State of Telangana.

Early Life And Education:

On 18th January 1975, Gundlapalli  Bharath Goud was born to the couple of Mr. Gundlapalli Dasharatha in the Yadagirigutta Village, Yadagirigutta  Mandal, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District from the Indian State of Telangana.   

From 1989 to 1990, Bharath Goud acquired his Secondary School Certificate from Zilla Parishad High School at M. Turkapally. From 1993 to 1994, he completed his Graduation from Sri Ramachandra College CEC  in Vidyanagar Hyderabad.

A career in NSUI:

 

NSUI (National Students’ Union of India) is the student wing of the Indian National Congress party, and it is active in various educational institutions across India. During 1987-1989, Bharath Goud worked as the Treasurer of NSUI in Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS) Yadagirigutta, a high school in the Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district of Telangana, India. As the treasurer, Bharath Goud would have been responsible for managing the financial affairs of the NSUI unit in the school, which would have involved collecting membership fees, organizing fundraising events, and maintaining financial records. 

 

Participated In INC Meetings:

From 1990 to 2005, Bharath Goud actively participated in various Indian National Congress (INC) party meetings and worked towards addressing the issues faced by the people in his village. He raised concerns about the lack of basic amenities such as proper roads, water supply, and electricity in the town and advocated for the region’s development. He also worked towards creating awareness among the people about their rights and responsibilities as citizens of the country. Participating in the INC party meetings gave him valuable experience and knowledge about politics and governance, which later helped him in his public service career.

Career In Political : 

On August 2, 2006, Bharath Goud was elected as the 5th Ward Member and Vice Sub Sarpanch in Yadagirigutta. He was selected to represent the residents of the 5th ward in the local government and was appointed as the Vice sub sarpanch, a deputy position to the sub sarpanch. As a ward member and Vice sub-sarpanch, he would have been responsible for addressing the concerns and issues of the residents of his ward, as well as working with other members of the local government to improve the overall development of Yadagirigutta.

From 2006 to 2013, Bharath Goud served as the Vice Sarpanch in Yadagirigutta, a town in the Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district of the Indian state of Telangana. As the Vice Sarpanch, he would have assisted the Sarpanch (village head) in carrying out various administrative and developmental activities in the village. This would have included issues related to the provision of basic amenities such as water supply, sanitation, roads, and healthcare, as well as addressing the concerns and grievances of the villagers. Goud’s role as Vice Sarpanch would have also involved working closely with the local government authorities and other stakeholders to bring about positive changes in the village.

From 2013 to 2020, Bharath Goud served as the 13th ward member and Vice Sarpanch in Yadagirigutta. He played a key role in the construction of community halls, parks, and other public facilities in his ward. Activities Through Congress Party :

  • It is commendable that Bharath Goud contributed his own money towards the construction of the Hanuman temple in Yadagirigutta in the year 2006. The temple construction cost was approximately five lakhs, and his contribution towards this noble cause must have been of great help to the temple authorities. This shows his devotion to religion and his commitment to the development of the town.
  • From 2007 to 26th November 2022, Bharath worked as a Town President for the Congress party in Yadagirigutta. As the town president of the Congress party in Yadagirigutta, Bharath Goud has been responsible for coordinating and overseeing the party’s activities. This includes organizing meetings, rallies, and campaigns to promote the party’s agenda and engage with voters. He has also been involved in addressing the concerns and issues raised by the local residents and ensuring that their needs are taken into account by the party and the local government.   • The Gouds Association building was constructed in Yadagirigutta with the financial assistance of MLA Uppunutala Purushottam Reddy in 2007. The building is used as a community center for the Goud community, which is an Other Backward Class (OBC) community in Telangana. The construction of the building provided a space for the community to hold events, meetings, and cultural activities. It also helped in bringing the community members together and improving their social and economic status. The building has become a symbol of the community’s unity and strength in the region.
  • In the year 2008, As the Vice Sarpanch of Patha Gundlapalli village, Bharath Goud took the initiative to build a  Primary school in the village. The school construction was made possible by the funds provided by MLA Uppunoothula Purushotham, which amounted to 5 lakh rupees. The  Primary school was constructed with the aim of providing better education facilities to the children of the village and improving the literacy rate. The efforts of Bharath Goud in constructing the school have been appreciated by the villagers and have helped in improving the educational infrastructure in the area.
  • As a Vice Sarpanch in Yadagirigutta, Bharath initiated the construction of an Anganwadi school in the BC colony with an amount of 400000 in the year 2009. This initiative was aimed at providing education and nutrition to the children in the colony. The school was equipped with basic infrastructure and facilities like mid-day meals, clean drinking water, and health checkups. The construction of this school has played a significant role in improving the education and health standards of the children in the BC colony.
  • Kasireddy Naramreddy, who was the chairman of the Nalgonda district parishad, provided a fund of 15 lakhs for the construction of a veterinary hospital in the market area of Yadagirigutta in the year 2010. The hospital was constructed with this fund, and it serves the needs of the local farmers and livestock owners. The hospital provides medical care and treatment for various animals, including cows, buffaloes, sheep, and goats. The hospital has been helpful in promoting animal health and productivity in the area.
  • Yadagirigutta is a town in the Yadadri bhuvanagiri district of Telangana, India. In the year 2010, a culvert was constructed near Yadagirigutta at a cost of 3,00,000 rupees. The culvert was built near Talla Ramreddy well, and it was constructed using the funds provided by Kasireddy Narayana, a politician and social worker from the region. The culvert helped in improving the connectivity and transportation in the area, especially during the rainy season when the well would overflow and the surrounding roads would get flooded. It also benefited the farmers in the nearby villages as they could easily transport their agricultural produce to the market without any hindrance.

  • The Indiramma Housing Scheme was launched by the Andhra Pradesh Government to provide houses to the homeless and people living in slums.   • The construction of a primary school in the Yadagirigutta Disabled Colony was a significant development initiative undertaken in the year 2011. The project was funded with 12 lakhs from the school funds of the MLA Uppunoothula Purushotham regime. It was equipped with modern facilities and staffed with well-trained teachers to ensure that the children received the best possible education.   • In the year 2013, Alair MLA Budida bikshamaiah initiated a project to construct cc roads in the entire town of Yadagirigutta at a cost of four crores. This project aimed to improve the infrastructure of the town and make it more accessible for the people. The project was carried out in several phases and involved the construction of new roads as well as the repair of existing ones. The MLA also ensured that the work was done with high-quality materials and in a timely manner to avoid any inconvenience to the residents. The construction of cc roads played a significant role in improving the connectivity and transportation facilities of the town, which in turn contributed to the overall development of the area.
  • As Sub sarpanch from 2013-2018, Bharath Goud played a significant role in the development of Yadagirigutta. Several development works were undertaken during this period, which cost around 80 lakh rupees. Some of the key initiatives taken by him include the construction of CC roads, the laying of pipelines for drinking water supply, and the installation of street lights in various parts of the town.
  • Bharath Goud also played an active role in resolving the issues faced by the people in the town. He organized several meetings with the local residents to understand their grievances and worked towards resolving them. He also initiated several awareness campaigns on issues such as health, hygiene, and sanitation and worked towards improving the overall living conditions in the town.
  • In the run-up to the year 2020  municipal elections, there was a lot of speculation about who would be appointed as the chairman candidate for the BC category. Eventually, Bharat Goud’s wife, Vani, was nominated as the candidate from the 5th ward. During the election campaign, Vani campaigned extensively and garnered support from the people by highlighting her husband’s track record of development work in Yadagirigutta.
  • On the day of the election, Vani emerged victorious with a majority of 650 votes, defeating her nearest rival from the TRS party. Her victory was celebrated by Bharat Goud’s supporters and the people of Yadagirigutta, who saw it as a recognition of his contribution to the development of the town. As the municipal chairman, Vani has continued to work toward the welfare of the people and the development of Yadagirigutta.
  • In the 2020 Year municipal elections, Bharath Goud was chosen as the Congress party’s panel chairman, and he was successful in leading his party to win 7 out of the 12 seats. As a result, he was nominated as the candidate for municipal chairperson. His wife, Vani, ran for the position of the chairperson from the fifth ward and won with a majority of 650 votes. The couple’s victory was seen as a significant win for the Congress party in the municipality.
  • But CM KCR has spent 100 cores for the development of Yadagirigutta. But in Yadagirigutta congress candidate won as a municipal chairperson. The controversy surrounding the municipal chairperson election in Yadagirigutta began after the Congress party won the majority of seats in the election. However, KCR, the Chief Minister of Telangana, was reportedly unhappy with the results and allegedly created a false Government Order (GO 4.0) to transfer some of the municipal wards to the newly created Bhongir-Ramannapet-Suryapet (BRS) municipal corporation.
  • Furthermore, it was reported that some ex-officials, whose votes were not supposed to be counted, were registered in the BRS municipal corporation, which allegedly helped BRS win the municipal chairperson seat illegally. This led to protests by the Congress party and allegations of foul play by the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party.
  • Despite the controversy, the BRS municipal corporation remained in place, and the Congress party’s candidate for municipal chairperson in Yadagirigutta, Vani, lost the seat to BRS candidate.

Activities Through BRS Party :

  • Bharath changed his political party from Congress to BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) on the year 26th of November 2022 under the direction of the IT (Information Technology) minister. and he is a party activist in Bharat Rashtra Samithi, Telangana.
  • Providing free water through a water tank for deaths, marriages, and auspicious events is a common practice in many Indian villages and towns. In Yadagirigutta, from 2006 to 2023, this service was provided under the leadership of various local leaders and representatives, including Bharath Goud. The aim of this service is to ensure that families do not have to face any difficulties in accessing water during important events and ceremonies. The cost of providing this service is typically borne by the local government or by donations from individuals or organizations
  • Providing financial assistance to girls from poor families during their death or marriage is a commendable effort to support them during their time of need. It is not only a humane gesture but also helps to reduce the financial burden on families who are already struggling with limited resources. Such initiatives also contribute towards women’s empowerment and gender equality, as they enable girls from disadvantaged backgrounds to access the resources and opportunities that are necessary for their growth and development. Continuing this support from 2006 to 2023, it shows a sustained commitment to helping those in need and uplifting the community as a whole.
  • Bharath Goud, during his tenure as a public representative, has played an active role in providing employment opportunities for jobless people in Yadagirigutta. He has worked towards creating job opportunities in different sectors like the gram panchayat, Yadagirigutta temple, and RTC depot. Through his influence, many people who were struggling to find employment have been able to secure jobs and improve their livelihoods.
  • Bharath Goud has been actively involved in the development of the Yadagirigutta temple and has played a key role in providing job opportunities for the local people. He has worked closely with the temple authorities to identify areas where employment opportunities can be created and have ensured that the local people are given preference when it comes to hiring for these positions.
  • Similarly, Bharath Goud has also worked towards providing employment opportunities in the RTC depot in Yadagirigutta. He has played an active role in advocating for the recruitment of local people in the depot and has worked closely with the RTC authorities to ensure that suitable job opportunities are provided to the people.

  • In 2019, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) visited Yadagirigutta and was impressed by the developmental works. KTR reportedly instructed Bharath to switch from the Congress party to the TRS-affiliated Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and promised to provide further development for the town.
  •  Bharath Goud was initially hesitant to switch parties but later decided to join the BRS after discussions with KTR on 26-11-2022. It is worth noting that Yadagirigutta is a popular temple town in Telangana, and the TRS government has made significant efforts to develop it into a major pilgrimage center. The government has allocated significant funds for the development of the Yadadri temple and its surroundings, including infrastructure projects such as roads, drainage systems, and water supply schemes.
