He received his SSC Standard education from Zilla Parishad High School in 1980 and subsequently pursued a Diploma in Pharmacy from AFMC, Pune in 1987. In pursuit of knowledge, Mr. Ramana Reddy furthered his education by completing his Graduation in Defence at Lucknow in 1999.

Ramana Reddy initiated the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJAK) during his tenure as Managing Director. The program commenced in 2017 with the establishment of a single outlet. Over the course of six years, Ramana Reddy spearheaded the expansion of PMBJAK, resulting in the development of 26 outlets across the Telangana state. Notably, within Malkajgiri Constituency alone, 12 outlets were established, making healthcare more accessible to the local population.
Under Ramana Reddy’s leadership, the PMBJAK has significantly improved healthcare services and affordability. The International Yoga Day event took place at the ARK Puram Officers’ Colony, White House, Nandu. On March 30, 2023, a grand Sri Rama Navami Shobha Yatra (Bike Rally) was organized by Gopu Ramana Reddy, the BJP State Convener of Ex-Servicemen Cell. Srinivas, who was working as a reporter at TV9, met with an accident two years ago. TV9 and his colleagues extended their maximum support to him. At present he is unable to walk. He needs daily physiotherapy and regular medication and consultation. For this reason, Gopu Ramana Reddy, president of OPEN NGO and BJP state co-convener former serviceman Cell came forward to support him. Dental and other graduation and post graduation courses, we request 5% CAP reservation for children of armed personnel.

Ex-Surveymen Rally

On 12th November 2017, Gopu Ramana Reddy attended the Ex-Surveymen Rally organized by AOC Centre. I represented to Lt Gen RK Anand, SM, VSM, GOC General Officer Commanding, Southern Command, Pune regarding CAP (Children of Army Persons) reservation. I told how children of retired army men serving in engineering and medical colleges in Telangana are being denied seats because their parents were not born in Telangana. I have requested to allow CAP quota for children of servicemen irrespective of their domicile. I have also requested to give house tax exemption to ex-servicemen residing in cantonment area. Lt Gen RK Anand ji, SM, VSM promised to listen to all the issues and take up the issues with the Telangana Government.

Malla Reddy Narayana Super Specialty Hospital is conducting a free Mega Medical Camp with Swarna Bharat Trust, the NGO has distributed free medicines to the patients. Around 500 people have benefited from this camp.
