Ganta Sravan Kumar

Ganta Sravan Kumar is the SC Cell Ranga Reddy District Working Chairman from the Congress party. He was born on 15th March 1993 in Mansoorabad. His parents were Eddaiah and Janamma.

Education Background:

In 2010, Sravan Kumar completed his schooling at Goutham High School, LB Nagar. He earned an Intermediate from Narayana Junior College. Sravan Kumar graduated with his B.Tech from Brilliant Engineering College, Inamguda.

Professional Life:

Apart from his Political Career Sravan Kumar also led his life successfully as a Businessman.

A career in Politics:

He has been associated with the NSUI since 2012. The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), the student wing of the Indian National Congress(INC or Congress), was established on 09 April 1971. The organization was founded by Indira Gandhi.

He fought tirelessly for students’ rights, for the immediate release of job notifications, fee reimbursement, Scholarships, college infrastructure, etc.

He strongly believes that politicians alone can stop corruption, bribery, and many other illegal activities in society and make the country a corruption-free country. With this belief, Sravan Kumar entered into Politics. In 2012, He started his Political Journey with the Indian National Congress(INC) party under the auspicious of Jakkidi Prabhakar Reddy.

Telangana Movement:

The Telangana Movement refers to a movement for the creation of a new state, Telangana, from the pre-existing state of Andhra Pradesh in India. After several years of protest and agitation, the central government, under the United Progressive Alliance, decided to bifurcate the existing Andhra Pradesh state, and on 07-February-2014, the Union Cabinet unilaterally cleared the bill for the creation of Telangana. Lasting for almost a decade, this has been one of the most long-lasting movements in South India.

I1n 202, Sravan Kumar played an active role during the late 2000s Telangana Separate State Movement spearheaded by now-CM, K.Chandrashekar Rao he took part in Hunger Strikes, Rally, Protest Programs, Million March, Chalo Hyderabad, Vanta-Varpu, Bike Rallies, as a part of Telangana Movement.

He was involved in the TSRTC Strike – 2021. Conducted blood donation camps, and free medical camps for the needy people in the village.

In 2019, Sravan Kumar was appointed and took charge as Mansoorabad Division Youth Congress President and performed his duties in order to fulfill his roles and responsibilities. The party officials promoted him as SC, ST, BC Student Federation District President from Ranga Reddy due to his Active Participation.

Sravan Kumar from LB Nagar has been appointed as the Rangareddy District Congress SC Cell Working Chairman. TPCC SC cell chairman Pritam Nagarigiri handed over the appointment letter at his residence in the city. Speaking on the occasion, Shravan Kumar said that Congress would win all the constituencies in the forthcoming elections in the Rangareddy district. He said he would work to strengthen the party under Rewant Reddy.

Sravan Kumar’s Struggles for the Congress Party Welfare:

• Sravan Kumar, President of SC, ST, BC Student Federation Rangareddy, said it was sad that CM KCR did not respond to the series of attacks on Dalits.
• Sravan, a Youth President, said it was an example of how those who work hard in the Congress party will always be recognized. He has been active in the student body at NSUI since 2012 and has been involved in various campaigns.
• He has demanded that action be taken against the education authorities who run colleges even during summer vacations against government directives. He told a press conference that some colleges were continuing education despite the government announcing holidays on the one hand.
• Sravan Kumar, President, SC, ST, BC Student Federation, Rangareddy, demanded immediate action against the owners of Sri Chaitanya and Narayana colleges for leaking the 2016 Amset question papers.
• LB Nagar Mansurabad Division Youth Congress President Sravan Kumar distributes vegetables along with essential commodities to GHMC sanitation workers and 200 poor people in Madhuranagar.
• During the lockdown, Shravan Kumar distributed food packets to various areas within the division. On the occasion, Shravan Kumar said that many people have lost their jobs due to the lockdown and are struggling to get food to eat and everyone should come forward to support such people.

Sravan Kumar’s Effort during the Covid Crisis

• Sravan Kumar rendered his service to the people of  Mansoorabad village even during the corona which terrorized the whole country.
• He distributed food and rice bags to the migrants and also contributed to them financially.
• He donates rice bags, vegetables, and medicine to COVID victims who are suffering from covid and cannot go out to fetch food.
• He also supported the poor financially by providing essential goods for those who could not find employment or food due to the lockdown.
• Provided annadhanam program to the Police, Municipal, and front-line workers who served a lot during the coronavirus crisis.
• Conducted awareness programs on the maintenance of Physical distance and following precautionary measures to prevent the epidemic in Corona.
• Sravan Kumar put his effort into serving people even during the COVID-19 second wave.
• He distributed vegetables and fruits to the village people and needy people.
• Awareness camps and seminars were organized on the COVID-19 vaccine and the effects of the virus.
• Organized awareness programs on precautions to be taken to prevent COVID-19 and said no need to panic.
• The area infected with the coronavirus has been declared a red zone and people have been given proper precautions and instructions.
