Philosophy:
Integral humanism was a set of concepts drafted by Upadhyaya as a political program and adopted in 1965 as the official doctrine of the Jan Sangh.
Upadhyaya considered that it was of utmost importance for India to develop an indigenous economic model with a human being at center stage. This approach made this concept different from Socialism and Capitalism. Integral Humanism was adopted as Jan Sangh’s political doctrine and its new openness to other opposition forces made it possible for the Hindu nationalist movement to have an alliance in the early 1970s with the prominent Gandhian Sarvodaya movement going on under the leadership of J. P. Narayan. This was considered to be the first major public breakthrough for the Hindu nationalist movement
“ ‘Antyodaya’ means the “rise of the last person” and it was one of the concepts emphasized by Upadhyay, who was also one of the founding leaders of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh — the forerunner of the BJP. “
“Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar (April 1, 1889 – June 21, 1940) was the founder of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Hedgewar founded the RSS in Nagpur, Maharashtra in 1925, with the intention of promoting the concept of the Hindu nation. Dr. Hedgewar was born in 1889 on Gudi Padwa day YUGAADI, the New Year for people from Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. He hailed from a family which was originally from Kundakurti, a small village in Bodhan taluka Nizamabad Dist. near the border of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh states”.
“Syama Prasad Mukherjee was an Indian politician, barrister and academician, who served as the Minister for Industry and Supply in Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru’s cabinet. After falling out with Nehru, protesting against the Nehru-Liaquat Pact, Mukherjee resigned from Nehru’s cabinet”.
“Murli Manohar Joshi is an Indian politician. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party of which he was the President between 1991 and 1993, and the former Member of Parliament for the Kanpur parliamentary constituency. He was formerly a professor of Physics at Allahabad University.“.
