Gangadhari Upender is the Village President of Saigudem, Aler Mandal. He was born on 06th January 1989 in Saigudem. His parents were Sataiah and Andalu.
Education Background:
In 2002, Upender, completed his schooling at CSI high school, Gundagudem. He received ITI from govt ITI college.
A career in Politics:
Upender started his political journey with the Indian National Congress(INC) party. He worked as a Party Activist by taking part in each activity. Upender quickly rose to prominence as a Public Leader after joining the party, participating in party growth operations.
Telangana Movement:
The Telangana Movement refers to a movement for the creation of a new state, Telangana, from the pre-existing state of Andhra Pradesh in India. After several years of protest and agitation, the central government, under the United Progressive Alliance, decided to bifurcate the existing Andhra Pradesh state, and on 07-February-2014, the Union Cabinet unilaterally cleared the bill for the creation of Telangana. Lasting for almost a decade, this has been one of the most long-lasting movements in South India.
Upender played an active role during the late 2000s Telangana Separate State Movement spearheaded by now-CM, K.Chandrashekar Rao, and took part in Hunger Strikes, Rally, Protest Programs, Million March, Chalo Hyderabad, Vanta-Varpu, Bike Rallies, as a part of the Telangana Movement.
He has participated in “Revanth Gajwel Sabha”. Upender plays a key role in solving the financial problems of the villagers and helping those in the hospital who are in an accident.
The villagers who saw Upender’s hard work, consummate dedication were selected as Village President of Saigudem, Aler Mandal from the Congress Party.
Congress Party Activities:
- The Congress party has organized a Digital Membership Registration Drive in Saigudem Colony, the second ward in Aler town. Aler Congress Town President MA. Ejaz, who was the chief guest at the event, said the previous Congress government had brought in many welfare schemes for the people, such as farmer loan waiver, 108, free electricity, Indiramma house, Pavala interest loans for women, and many more. He said that the Congress party is always thinking about the welfare of the people. Yadagiri, village president Gangadari Upender, Gajjala Shekhar, Bhima Gani Chanti, and others were present on the occasion.
- Ramnarsayya and Beedani Siddhamma of Saigudem, second ward, Aler, Yadadri, Bhubaneswar district, died recently. Ailayya, In charge of the Congress party constituency, was given 50 kg of rice each. The Congress party town president MA was present at the event. Ejaz, Bhimagani Prabhu, Krishna, Upender, Aleru Youth Congress town presidents Jukanti Sampath and others participated in the program.
- Eggs and masks were distributed to corona victims in Saigudem in collaboration with Birla Foundation Chairman Birla Ailayya in Saigudem 2nd Ward. The event was attended by Aleru Town President Town Congress President MA Ejaz, Single Window Director Sagar Reddy, and Village President Gangadari Upender.
- On the occasion of the 120th birth anniversary of Chakali Ailamma, Youth Congress Parliament General Secretary Shivshankar, Constituency President Santosh and Village President Upender laid flowers at her statue in Aleru.
Service During the Pandemic Covid-19
-Venkat Yadav rendered his service to the Usirikayalapalli people even during the corona which terrorized the whole country.
-He distributed food and rice bags to the migrants and also contributed to them financially.
-He donates rice bags, vegetables, and medicine to covid victims who are suffering from covid and cannot go out to fetch food.
-He also supported the poor financially by providing essential goods for those who could not find employment or food due to the lockdown.
-Provided annadhanam program to the Police, Municipal, front-line workers who served a lot during the corona crisis.
-Conducted awareness programs on the maintenance of Physical distance and following precautionary measures to prevent the epidemic in Corona.
-Venkat Yadav put effort even during the Covid second wave.
-He distributed vegetables and fruits to the village people and needy people.
-Awareness camps and seminars were organized on the Covid-19 vaccine and about the effects of the virus.
-Organized awareness programs on precautions to be taken to prevent covid and said no need to panic.
-The area infected with the coronavirus has been declared a red zone and people have been given proper precautions and instructions.
