Galla Jayadev(Jay Galla)

MP, Managing Director of Amara Raja Group, Guntur, TDP, Andhra Pradesh.

Galla Jayadev is the MP(Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha) in Guntur constituency, Andhra Pradesh and He is the Managing Director of Amara Raja Group.

He was born on 24-03-1966 to Dr.G. Ramachandra Naidu & G. Aruna Kumari in Diguvamagham.

In 1984, He has completed his Diploma from West-Mont High School Westmont, Illinois, USA. In 1990, He has Completed his Graduation BA(Political Science and Economics) from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, USA.

Jayadev’s father is an industrialist who Founded the Amara Raja Group. His mother Aruna Kumari Galla is a former MLA from Chandragiri constituency and was a Minister in the Andhra Pradesh state government for several years. His grandfather Paturi Rajagopala Naidu was a freedom fighter, a close associate of Acharya N G Ranga, and a former Indian parliamentarian.

Along with his parents, Jayadev moved to the USA, where he lived for around 22 years. Jay completed his studies in the US and married Padmavathi Ghattamaneni, daughter of prominent Telugu film actor Krishna and has two children – Siddharth Galla and Ashok Galla. He is known to be very close to his brother-in-law, Telugu actor Mahesh Babu.

After his graduation, Jay worked as an International Sales Executive at GNB Battery Technologies in the USA. On his return from the United States in 1992, he took up the task of setting up the sales and service network for the industrial battery division of Amara Raja.

In 1992 along with his father Ramachandra Naidu Galla started looking at automotive batteries as a viable business and tied up with Johnson Controls the US-based giant and gave them a 26% stake in their company Amara Raja to start Amara Raja Batteries Limited (ARBL). ARBL is one of the leading manufacturers of advanced lead-acid batteries in India.

Jayadev took over as the Managing Director of Amara Raja Batteries in 2003 from his father. He has been trying to get into the steps of his mother by entering into politics. Jayadev is the Vice-Chairman & Managing Director of Amara Raja Group and he is the Vice-Chairman & Managing Director of  Amara Raja Batteries, Ltd.

Jayadev is an Indian politician and industrialist in India and he started his political journey with the Telugu Desam Party and he was the Leader. In 2014, He contested the MP 16th Lok Sabha election from the Guntur Constituency in Andhra Pradesh and won with a big margin. He was a Member of the Standing Committee on Defense and he was a Member of the Standing Committee on Commerce.

Jay was served as a Member of the Consultative Committee, Ministry of Power, and Ministry of New & Renewable Energy. Jay was a Member of the Committee on Private Members Bills & Resolution and a Member of the Tobacco Board & Ministry of Commerce & Industry. Jay was the Member of the Joint Committee on the Enforcement of Security Interest and Recovery of Debts Laws and Miscellaneous Provision (Amendment) Bill, 2016.

In 2019, Jay is the Current MP(Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha) in Guntur constituency, Andhra Pradesh, and a Member of the Telugu Desam Party.

రాజధానిపై ఆసక్తిగా విని ఆయన, ఇన్నిరోజులుగా ఆందోళనలు చేస్తున్నారంటే చాలా భాధగా వుంది. అక్కడి సమస్యలు తెలుసుకుంటాను ఆందోళన చెందవద్దు. భారతదేశంలో ప్రజల ఆకాంక్షలు విధముగా ప్రభుత్వం నడవాలి. మీకు న్యాయం చేస్తాను ధైర్యముగా వుండండని అక్కడి ప్రజలకు నా మాటగా చెప్పండి అని స్పందించారు.
