I have been deeply committed to journalism, public service, and community welfare throughout my career. My early work as a journalist with TNN and NSTV allowed me to bring important issues to light and inform the public on critical matters. Transitioning into politics, I started as an activist with the TRS party. I later joined the BJP, holding key roles, including State General Secretary for Telangana Raithu Hakkula Sadha Samithi and District Media Incharge for Medchal. My work has always been driven by a passion for serving the people and advocating for their rights.

In my journey, I have also been actively involved in social justice and public health initiatives. I led efforts to improve sanitation, support underprivileged communities, and provide relief during the COVID-19 pandemic. As the founder of the Mother Helping Hand Social Organization, I dedicated myself to uplifting those in need, from distributing essential supplies to organizing blood donation drives. My advocacy for better public facilities, environmental reforms, and the well-being of the disabled reflects my ongoing commitment to creating a more just and equitable society.

His significant contributions mark Mr Gali Sampath’s career in journalism as a reporter for prominent news channels, including TNN (Television News Network) and NSTV (New Delhi Television). His role in these media outlets reflects his deep engagement in journalism and his commitment to bringing important stories to the public.

During his tenure at TNN and NSTV, Sampath’s responsibilities encompassed various journalistic tasks. He gathered and reported news, covered diverse events, conducted interviews, and contributed to the overall news programming. His work required extensive research, investigation, and a keen understanding of the issues.

As a reporter, Sampath covered a broad spectrum of topics, ranging from politics and current affairs to social issues and other areas of public interest. His dedication to uncovering and presenting the truth to the public helped shape the narratives that informed and influenced public opinion. In 2002, Sampath embarked on his political journey by joining the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party, where he became a committed party activist. His dedication to the party’s cause was evident as he actively participated in and supported all TRS activities. As a party activist, Sampath played a crucial role in promoting the party’s ideology and advocating for the interests of the people of Telangana. He raised awareness about key issues, participated in public demonstrations, and engaged with the media to articulate the party’s stance on important matters.

In 2012, Sampath’s contributions were recognized when he was appointed as the GHMC Karmika Vibagam Secretary for the TRS party. Sampath oversaw various administrative functions and contributed to the city’s development in this significant role within the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). His position required him to provide administrative leadership by coordinating and managing the municipal corporation’s day-to-day operations, ensuring that the TRS’s vision for urban development and public welfare was effectively implemented.

Joining Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Building Alliances

After several in-depth discussions and interactions with the National President of BJP OBC Morcha, Shri Dr K. Laxman, Mr Gali Sampath made a pivotal decision to align with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This decision came after he established a strong rapport with Dr. K. Laxman through numerous conversations and collaborative efforts. Dr. K. Laxman, recognizing Sampath’s dedication to public service and his vision for community development, extended a warm welcome to the BJP. Impressed by Sampath’s grassroots connections and commitment to the people’s welfare, Dr. K. Laxman saw him as a valuable asset to the party.

Transition to BJP and Key Appointments

In 2019, Sampath marked a significant turning point in his political career by switching his allegiance from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). As a dedicated BJP Party Activist, Sampath immersed himself in various activities to further the party’s objectives and promote its ideology. His dedication and efforts did not go unnoticed, leading to several key appointments within the BJP and associated organizations.

1. State General Secretary for Telangana State Raithu Hakkula Sadha Samithi (2020):

On January 24th, 2020, Sampath was appointed the State General Secretary of the Telangana State Raithu Hakkula Sadha Samithi. In this prominent role, he provided strategic leadership and direction to the organization, focusing on policies that promoted the welfare of farmers and agricultural workers across Telangana. Sampath played a critical role in advocating for agrarian reforms and ensuring that the voices of farmers were heard at the state level.

2. State Vice President for Telangana Yadava Hakkula Porata Samithi (2017):

In 2017, Sampath was appointed the State Vice President for Telangana Yadava Hakkula Porata Samithi. This position underscored his commitment to advancing the rights and interests of the Yadava community. As Vice President, Sampath was actively involved in organizing community events, advocating for social justice, and ensuring that the Yadava community’s concerns were addressed within the political framework.

3. MLC Incharge of Dammaiguda (2021):

Sampath’s influence grew within the BJP, leading to his appointment as a Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) Incharge of Dammaiguda in 2021. In this capacity, he represented the party’s interests and worked diligently to address the needs of his constituents. His role involved legislative advocacy, community engagement, and ensuring that local issues were brought to the council’s attention.

4. District Media Incharge for Medchal (2021 – Present):

Recognizing his communication and media outreach expertise, the BJP appointed Sampath as the District Media Incharge for Medchal in 2021. In this ongoing role, he manages the party’s media relations within the district, coordinates press releases, organises media events, and ensures that the party’s message reaches the broader public effectively.

5. Medchal District Jawahar Nagar Incharge (2022 – Present):

In 2022, Sampath’s leadership was further acknowledged when he was appointed Medchal District Jawahar Nagar Incharge. This position entrusted him with overseeing party affairs, mobilizing support, and strengthening the BJP’s presence in the region. His efforts have been crucial in organizing campaigns, engaging with local communities, and building a robust network of party workers.

6. Shakthi Kendra Incharge of Dammaiguda:

Sampath’s organizational skills were tested when he was appointed as the Shakthi Kendra Incharge of Dammaiguda. In this role, he is responsible for managing the BJP’s booth-level operations, coordinating voter outreach programs, and ensuring effective booth management during elections. 7. District Working President for the International Human Rights Commission in Medchal (2021):

On December 14, 2021, Sampath was appointed District Working President for the International Human Rights Commission in Medchal. Sampath’s leadership in this capacity has been marked by his commitment to justice and equality for all community members.

He actively participated in the MPTC elections, seeking a position that would allow him to serve the people effectively. With a deep sense of commitment and dedication, he contested for the MPTC (Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency), driven by a strong desire to positively impact the lives of the community he represented.

Throughout his campaign, he tirelessly engaged with the residents, listening to their concerns and understanding their needs. He passionately advocated for their rights and voiced their grievances, promising to address them sincerely and diligently.

On January 22, 2022, Sampth Contested for the honourable post of Councilor for the 18th ward in Dammaiguda from the BJP Party; however, the seat was vacated, and the exact position was granted to the opponent from the ruling party owing to a little discrepancy in the vote percentage.

Support from Political Leaders:

Bandi Sanjay and Eetala Rajendra’s support for Sampath indicates a collaborative and mutually beneficial relationship within the political landscape. Bandi Sanjay, the State President of the BJP in Telangana, and Eetala Rajendra, a prominent leader within the party, endorse Sampath’s political endeavours.

Raghunandhan Rao’s support during Sampath’s fight signifies a collaborative effort within the political landscape. His involvement suggests that he recognizes Sampath’s cause and is willing to lend his support to further their shared goals.

The support of Kompally Mohan Reddy in Sampath’s political career indicates the presence of a beneficial association and mentorship within the political landscape. Mohan Reddy, being a prominent figure, has likely played a significant role in guiding and supporting Sampath throughout his political journey.

Sampath, inspired by Kommuri Prathap Reddy within the TRS party, showcases the influence and mentorship that Prathap Reddy has had on Sampath’s political journey. Prathap Reddy, a prominent figure within the TRS party, has likely served as a role model for Sampath, guiding and inspiring him in his political career.

Sampath, inspired by Kompally Mohan Reddy, joined the BJP party, suggesting that Mohan Reddy played a significant role in shaping Sampath’s political ideology and decision-making process. Mohan Reddy’s influence likely resonated with Sampath, leading him to align himself with the BJP and its principles.

Organization:

Sampath’s founding of the Mother Helping Hand Social Organization in Hyderabad and his role as its Founder and Chairman exemplify his dedication to social welfare and community service. By establishing this foundation, Sampath has created a platform to address various social issues and extend support to those in need.

As the Chairman of the Mother Helping Hand Social Organization, Sampath assumes a leadership role in shaping the foundation’s objectives and overseeing its operations. He likely collaborates with a team of volunteers and professionals to design and implement initiatives catering to the community’s needs.

Participation in Telangana Movement: 

Sampath was a crucial figure in the Telangana Movement, which sought to create a new state out of the existing Andhra Pradesh in India. He actively participated in various social programs and events, including the Million March, Bike Rallies, and Dharanas, to promote the cause of Telangana statehood.

During the movement, Sampath demonstrated his unwavering commitment to the cause by being imprisoned and enduring the hardships that came with it. He also played a critical role in organizing the Rasta Roko and Sakala Jamula Samme protests, setting up Vanta Varpu during the former to draw attention to the cause.

Sampath’s dedication and tireless efforts were instrumental in creating the Telangana state. His involvement in the movement and unwavering commitment to the cause inspire those who seek to promote democracy and self-determination peacefully.

Praja Sangrama Yatra:

Sampath actively participated in the Praja Sangrama Yatra alongside the BJP State President and Karimnagar Member of Parliament (MP), Bandi Sanjay. The Praja Sangrama Yatra was a significant political event organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to reach out to the people, understand their concerns, and spread the party’s message and ideology.

During the Praja Sangrama Yatra, Sampath, alongside Bandi Sanjay, travelled to various regions, towns, and villages, connecting with the local population and addressing public gatherings. Together, they engaged in extensive interactions with the people, listening to their grievances, understanding their aspirations, and sharing the BJP’s vision for the development and progress of the region.

Campaign Against Dump Yard Issues: Sampath has been at the forefront of the fight against the detrimental effects of a local dump yard in Jawaharlal Nagar. Recognizing the severe environmental and health risks it posed, he has actively lobbied for its removal or relocation. His efforts include rallying community members, engaging with local authorities, and advocating for a cleaner and healthier environment.

Advocacy for Improved Water Facilities: Understanding the critical importance of clean water access, Sampath has championed the cause of improving water facilities for the underprivileged. His initiatives include raising public awareness, organizing community outreach programs, and pressuring authorities to ensure sufficient and safe water supply for economically disadvantaged communities.

Ration Distribution: Sampath has spearheaded the distribution of essential food supplies to those in need, utilizing lorries to deliver rations to underprivileged families. His dedication to combating food insecurity is evident in his efforts to ensure that vulnerable communities receive the sustenance they require.

Blood Donation Drives: Sampath has played a pivotal role in organizing numerous blood donation camps, emphasizing his commitment to public health and community service. By donating blood and encouraging others to do the same, he has significantly impacted the availability of critical blood supplies, saving countless lives.

Health Camps Initiative: Sampath has demonstrated his commitment to enhancing the community’s well-being by organizing 1,350 health camps. These camps offer a wide range of healthcare services, including medical screenings, vaccinations, and health education, addressing the prevalent health concerns of the community.

Support for Government Schemes and Ration Cards: Sampath has assisted approximately 1,500 people in navigating the complexities of government welfare schemes. His focus on helping White Ration Card holders access the 5 Lakhs Scheme highlights his commitment to improving the lives of economically disadvantaged individuals by ensuring they receive the benefits they are entitled to.

Ration Distribution to RTC Employees: In a gesture of solidarity with Road Transport Corporation (RTC) employees, Sampath has distributed rations to support their families during times of financial hardship. This initiative reflects his concern for the welfare of the working class.

Provision of Ration Cards and Pensions: Sampath’s efforts to secure White Ration Cards and pensions for those in need exemplify his dedication to ensuring that vulnerable populations receive essential government support. • Seven years ago, Sampath took up the initiative to address the inadequate and unhygienic conditions of public toilets in the area. Recognizing the importance of clean and accessible sanitation facilities for the well-being and dignity of the community, he dedicated his efforts to improving and rebuilding public toilets to ensure a neat and clean environment for everyone.
• Sampath’s involvement in assisting thousands of underprivileged individuals through the Prem Kishore Trust is commendable. By helping around 10,000 people, he has demonstrated his commitment to supporting the welfare and upliftment of the less fortunate.
• Sampath’s support for disabled people in Jawaharlal Nagar demonstrates his commitment to inclusivity and ensuring equal opportunities for all members of the community. By extending a helping hand to disabled individuals, he aims to empower them and improve their quality of life.
• Additionally, Sampath’s involvement in facilitating access to pensions highlights his dedication to supporting the elderly, disabled, and economically disadvantaged individuals who qualify for pension schemes.

Leadership in COVID-19 Relief and Public Health Initiatives in Dammaiguda

• During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sampath was appointed as the Convenor for Sevahe Sangatan in Dammaiguda Municipality. This appointment exemplified his commitment to serving the community and his ability to organize and coordinate efforts to provide assistance to those in need. As the Convenor, Sampath played a crucial role in leading and mobilizing a group dedicated to helping people during these difficult times.
• He distributed masks, sanitizers, and other essential Covid-19 related items to the villagers, especially those who were financially vulnerable and could not afford to purchase them.
• Sampath set up a helpline number to assist people needing medical assistance and advice related to Covid-19. He also collaborated with local medical professionals and health authorities to provide medical support and service to the affected individuals.
• He established quarantine centers in the village to accommodate Covid-19 positive patients and arranged for their medical treatment and other necessary facilities.
• Sampath also coordinated with local authorities and NGOs to provide villagers with food and other essential supplies during the lockdown period.
• He initiated a mass vaccination campaign in the village, encouraging people to get vaccinated and providing them with all the necessary information about the vaccination process.
• Sampath also collaborated with the village administration to enforce Covid-19 protocols and guidelines, such as social distancing and wearing masks in public places.
• He constantly monitored the Covid-19 situation in the village and provided regular updates to the villagers through social media and other communication channels, ensuring that the community remained informed and prepared to face the pandemic’s challenges.
