I have been deeply committed to enhancing education and providing opportunities for all students throughout my career. My teaching journey began at Saraswathi Vidya Mandir in Kesava Nagar, where I fostered a love for learning in young minds. This path continued at Punjagutta Government School and Nalanda Junior College, where I expanded my impact by guiding students through their educational challenges and inspiring them to pursue higher education. As Secretary of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) at Andhra University, I worked diligently to improve student life and academic standards, advocating for their needs and promoting a supportive environment.

My leadership roles have extended beyond the classroom, significantly influencing the educational and healthcare sectors. As State General Secretary of the Andhra Pradesh Self-Financed Recognized Colleges Association (APSFRCA), I have championed the interests of self-financed institutions, striving to create a more supportive and effective educational framework. My work as an educational journalist with newspapers like Andhra Jyothi and Deccan Chronicle has furthered public understanding of academic issues and reforms.

In addition to my roles in education and journalism, I have founded and led various initiatives to support underprivileged communities. As Chairman and Director of the Raja Ratna Health Care & Educational Trust, I have overseen projects that improve healthcare and education for those in need. Through Career Doctor India Ltd., SOCIETY, and PPCME Society, I provide career guidance, computer training, and educational resources to disadvantaged students. My awards programs, Lady Legend Accolades and ITAPAwards, celebrate excellence in education and highlight the contributions of outstanding individuals and educators.

My lifelong mission is to empower students and uplifting communities through education and social service. The platform, aptly described as “Education at your Door Step,” is especially beneficial for underprivileged and needy students, offering them vital information that might otherwise be out of reach.
• Dr. Ankam also established the Society of Cultural Illiteracy Eradication & Education Training for Youth (SOCIETY). This organisation equips poor and needy students with essential IT skills and communication training to enhance their employability and personal development. By addressing cultural illiteracy and providing practical skills, SOCIETY contributes to empowering youth in disadvantaged communities.
• In addition to these efforts, Dr Ankam founded the PPCME Society and the Presidency Group of Institutions to tackle illiteracy and create employment opportunities. One of the notable examples of his dedication is the Presidency Prerana 2007 event. This science and sales exhibition, organised as part of the Annual Day Celebrations, was aimed at raising funds to support physically handicapped and mentally disabled children. The proceeds from the event, generated through sales and donations, were used to assist these children, highlighting Dr. Ankam’s ongoing commitment to humanitarian causes.

The ITAPAwards (Ideal Teaching Awards Program) is an innovative recognition program launched by Tutors Pride to celebrate excellence in teaching across India. Initiated in 2017, the awards focus on honouring exceptional educators, particularly those serving rural areas where their contributions often go unrecognised.

The ITAPAwards aim to highlight the dedication, hard work, and achievements of teachers who excel in their profession. The awards cover various subjects, including Mathematics, Science, English, Information Technology, Law, and Medical. Each year, the ceremony recognises the outstanding efforts of educators who have significantly impacted their respective fields.

This year’s ITAPAwards will honour 100 teachers selected from over 500 nominations, reflecting educators’ diverse and profound contributions across various disciplines.
