Dharmana Prasada Rao

Dharmana Prasada Rao is an Indian politician from Andhra Pradesh. He is a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in the Srikakulam Constituency from the YSRCP.

He is the Minister for Roads and Buildings (R&B) and Former Revenue Minister of State of Andhra Pradesh. He was born in 1959 to Ramalingam Naidu and Savitramma in Mabagam, Srikakulam.

From 1974-1976, he completed Intermediate from (Board of Intermediate Education) AVN College Visakhapatnam. He is an Agriculturist and Social Worker.

He started his political journey and he joined the Indian National Congress Party(INC) in 1980. From 1981-1985, he served as an Ex-President in Mabagam Gram Panchayat.

From 1987 to 1989, he worked as an Ex-President in Polanki Mandal, Praja Parishad. From 1989-1994, he selected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), Srikakulam.

From 1991-1994, he worked as a Minister of Handlooms in Srikakulam. From 1999-2003, He elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), Srikakulam.

From 2004-2009, he re-elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) and was the Minister of Revenue, Relief, Rehabilitation & Urban Land ceilings.

In 2009, he selected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly, Minister of Revenue, Relief, Rehabilitation & Urban Land Ceiling.

In 2010, Minister for Roads and Buildings. (up to 26-05-2013).  On 2014 February 9th he joined the YSRCP( Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party).

  In 2019, he elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), Srikakulam Constituency from the YSRCP.

Recent Activities:

• Prasada distributed many kits like Essential things, Masks, and sanitizer in most of the village during the COVID-19 Pandemic lockdown period, and he was Provided food&Vegetables to the Poor people during lockdown time.
• Helping poor people in his village, and developing activities like CC Roads, Drainage, Street lights, and Water Problems in his Constituency.
• Donated Safety kits to frontline workers in his Constituency.
• Street lights were set up.
• Distributed Essential Needs in Pandemic COVID-19 time.
• Awareness was created on how to practice social distance.
• The complete village was sprayed with sodium hypochlorite solution.
• Some roads were paved in his Constituency.
• Equipment distribution program for the disabled.
• Launched the “YSR Jalakal” scheme to provide free bores to farmers.
