Devireddy Veerababu

Devireddy Veerababu is the Mandal General Secretary of Laveru, Srikakulam district from the BJP. He was born on 25th June 1982 to the couple Tivitayya and Ramanamma in Lakshmi Narayanapuram.

Educational Background:

In 1998, Veerababu earned his Board of Secondary Education from ZP High School, located at Adapaka, and from 2000-2002 he completed Intermediate from Govt junior college, Ponduru. In 2005, Veerababu attained his Graduation(Degree) from Arts Degree college, Srikakulam.

Professional Life:

Veerababu led a successful life as a Businessman. He worked as a LIC Agent.

A career in Politics:

Through the Telugu Desam Party, Veerababu entered Politics in 2004. He was an Active Member at the party and took part in Visaka Ukku – Andhrula Hakku, Save Amaravathi Movements.

About TDP:

TDP is a regional Indian political party active in the southern states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The party was founded by N.T.Rama Rao on 29-March-1982. TDP was the first regional party to become the main opposition party at the 8th Lok Sabha from 1984 to 1989. TDP has a commitment to safeguarding “the political, economic, social, and cultural foundations of Telugu-speaking people”.

Due to certain consequences, Veerababu left the TDP. He switches over to the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) in 2014 and took party responsibilities.

About BJP:

The Bharatiya Janata Party is one of two major political parties in India. It is the current ruling political party of the Republic of India since 2014. The BJP is a right-wing party, and its policy has historically reflected Hindu nationalist positions. It has close ideological and organizational links to the much older Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh(RSS).

In view of his efforts for the development of the party, Veerababu has been given the opportunity to take over as the General Secretary of the party Laveru Mandal, Srikakulam District in 2019. Veerababu was always able to carry out his duty effectively as he was given the post with confidence in him.

As a responsible citizen, Veerababu is always at the forefront in giving his helping hand. In response to his best performance regarding Social Service, in 2020 he was appointed and serving as General Secretary of Chirudivve Chaitanya Foundation and many Social Activities has done through the Foundation.

BJP leaders and activists across the state have taken the initiative, demanding that the problems of farmers in Telangana be resolved on the orders of BJP president Bandi Sanjay. They demanded the purchase of grain on a war footing, the payment of support price for tainted and discolored grain, an end to harassment of farmers in the name of depreciation, and the implementation of debt forgiveness. Veerababu put a lot of effort into the party’s welfare.

He played an active role in the Ayodhya Rama Mandir money collecting program. BJP leaders marched to protest the demolition of a statue of Lord Rama at Rama Tirtha.

Activities by Veerababu onbehalf of the BJP:

• BJP zone President Izzada Srinivasa Rao, General Secretary Devireddy Veerababu, and activists in the Laveru zone of Srikakulam district wrote a Bahiramga Lekha to Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Thomar explaining the farmer laws being implemented by the central government to the farmers.
• BJP workers in Andhra Pradesh, Srikakulam district, and Laveru zone laid flowers and paid tributes to Atal Bihari Vajpayee on the occasion of his birth anniversary.
• Veerababu and BJP activists worshiping the Rama Nama Sankirtana in Ayodhya to ensure that there is no disruption in the construction of the Rama Mandir and in the construction work.
• On behalf of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Veerababu distributed bread, bananas, and glucose to 85 members who are in Quarantine Center, Laver Mandal with his own funds at the Tamada Model School .
• Mandal General Secretary Devireddy Veerababu distributed food from Pondur to Vizag on behalf of Chirudivve Chaitanya Foundation for Hudhud flood victims.

Veerababu’s Effort During the Covid-19 Crisis:

-Veerababu rendered his service to the Lakshmi Narayanapuram people even during the corona which terrorized the whole country.

-He distributed food and rice bags to the migrants and also contributed to them financially.

-He donates rice bags, vegetables, and medicine to covid victims who are suffering from covid and cannot go out to fetch food.

-He also supported the poor financially by providing essential goods for those who could not find employment or food due to the lockdown.

-Provided annadhanam program to the Police, Municipal, front-line workers who served a lot during the corona crisis.

-Conducted awareness programs on the maintenance of Physical distance and following precautionary measures to prevent the epidemic in Corona.

-Veerababu put effort even during the Covid second wave.

-He distributed vegetables and fruits to the village people and needy people.

-Awareness camps and seminars were organized on the Covid-19 vaccine and about the effects of the virus.

-Organized awareness programs on precautions to be taken to prevent covid and said no need to panic.

-The area infected with the coronavirus has been declared a red zone and people have been given proper precautions and instructions.
