I Chavitlo Praveen Kumar, a dedicated public servant, advocate, and proud worker of the Telugu Desam Party from Alur Constituency, Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh. Born on 1st January 1978 in the village of Molagavalli, I was raised with strong values of integrity, justice, and social responsibility by my parents Shri Chavitlo Maldanna and Smt. Chavitlo Thulashamma.

My journey in public life began as a student activist with AISF and evolved through Lok Satta Party, where I contested as MLA candidate in 2009. In 2012, I joined the Telugu Desam Party under the visionary leadership of Honourable Chief Minister Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu during the historic “Vastunna Meekosam” Padayatra. Since then, I have remained fully committed to the party’s ideals of development, good governance, and people’s welfare.

As a practicing advocate and two-time President of Alur Bar Association, I have always stood for justice and the rights of the common man. Whether it is providing free legal aid to the poor, supporting underprivileged students with education, or fighting for the rights of advocates, I have tried to serve the people with sincerity and dedication.

I firmly believe that politics should be a medium to uplift society, especially the poor and backward sections. With the blessings of our beloved leader Shri Chandrababu Naidu and the people’s support, I continue to work tirelessly for the progress of Alur Constituency and the overall development of Andhra Pradesh.

My commitment remains unwavering — to serve the people selflessly, uphold justice, and contribute meaningfully to building a stronger, prosperous, and developed Andhra Pradesh under the able leadership of Telugu Desam Party.

Chavitlo Praveen Kumar was born on January 01, 1978, in the village of Molagavalli, located within the Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh. His formative years were profoundly influenced by his parents, Shri Chavitlo Maldanna, and Smt. Chavitlo Thulashamma, who nurtured his character and instilled a deep sense of duty from a tender age.

Shri. Chavitlo Praveen Kumar shares his life with Smt. Chavitlo.Pragathi, and their marriage took place with the blessings and presence of family members and well-wishers, marking the beginning of a fulfilling personal journey. Praveen Kumar’s extended family also reflects a strong sense of achievement and service. Together, they are proud parents of two children’s: daughter Chavitlo Sushma and son Chavitlo Dileep Royal. This extended family stands as a testament to their values of hard work, service, and dedication to the betterment of society.

Chavitlo Praveen Kumar began his educational journey with dedication at Zilla Parishad High School in Molagavalli, where he successfully completed his Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in 1993. He pursued his Intermediate education at the prestigious Sri Sankarananda Giri Swamy Junior College, Guntakal, and completed it during the period 1994-96.

He further advanced his academic qualifications by earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in 2001. Demonstrating his strong interest in law and justice, Chavitlo Praveen Kumar distinguished himself by completing his Bachelor of Legislative Law (LLB) in 2004, adding a professional edge to his educational profile. His consistent academic progress and pursuit of higher studies reflect his deep commitment to learning, intellectual growth, and preparation for public service.

Early Association with Student Politics (AISF)
Chavitlo Praveen Kumar entered student politics during his college days by joining the All India Students’ Federation (AISF) between 1998 and 2000. His involvement in AISF helped shape his ideological foundation and leadership qualities.

Enrollment as Advocate
In the year 2005, Chavitlo Praveen Kumar enrolled as an Advocate, beginning his professional career in the field of law. Association with Loksatta Party (2006-2012)
In 2006, Chavitlo Praveen Kumar joined the Loksatta Party, founded by Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan, known for its focus on good governance, electoral reforms, and anti-corruption. He remained actively associated with the party till 2012, working dedicatedly towards its ideals of transparent and accountable governance.

Contested as MLA from Loksatta Party
In the year 2009, Chavitlo Praveen Kumar contested the Assembly elections as the MLA candidate from the Alur Constituency on a Loksatta Party ticket. Bar President, Alur (2009-2010)

During 2009-2010, Chavitlo Praveen Kumar was elected as the Bar President of Alur. Joining the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) – 2012

In 2012, Chavitlo Praveen Kumar joined the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) under the dynamic leadership of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Honourable Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu. He formally entered the party during the historic “Vastunna Meekosam Padayatra“(వస్తున్న మీ కోసం), a significant mass outreach program aimed at connecting with the people and understanding their issues. This marked a new and important phase in his political career, aligning him with the party’s vision of development, welfare, and good governance.

Alur Constituency Legal Cell Convenor (Since 2014)
Since 2014, Chavitlo Praveen Kumar has been serving as the Legal Cell Convenor of Alur Constituency for the Telugu Desam Party. In this key responsibility, he has been effectively handling legal matters related to the party and its workers. He has been providing valuable legal guidance, resolving disputes, and offering support to party cadres and the public on various legal and administrative issues. His legal expertise has strengthened the party’s presence and credibility in the constituency.

Assistant Government Pleader (2015-2018)
From 2015 to 2018, Chavitlo Praveen Kumar served as Assistant Government Pleader (AGP). In this important legal position, he represented the Government of Andhra Pradesh in various courts. He handled numerous cases with professionalism and dedication, contributing significantly to the legal functioning of the government machinery.

Bar Association President, Alur (2024-25 & 2025-26)

Chavitlo Praveen Kumar was unanimously elected as the President of Alur Bar Association for two consecutive terms — 2024-25 and 2025-26. This prestigious position reflects the high regard and trust the legal fraternity has in his leadership. As Bar President, he has been actively working for the welfare of advocates, addressing their issues, and striving to improve the overall functioning of the judicial system in the region. His leadership has brought positive changes and greater unity among the legal community.

Participation in Samaikya Andhra Movement –

Chavitlo Praveen Kumar actively participated in the Samaikyandhra Movement, which aimed to safeguard the unity of the state and prevent the division that would separate the Telangana districts from the rest of Andhra Pradesh, forming a separate Telangana state.

In this significant movement, the people of Alur Constituency played a crucial role and wholeheartedly supported the foot march (padayatra) led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. In his dedication to a united Andhra Pradesh, Chavitlo Praveen Kumar organized numerous dharnas, protests, and initiatives aimed at fostering unity among all communities. His efforts were pivotal in advocating for the cause of a united Andhra.

• Protest in Support of Chandrababu Naidu

When Honourable Chief Minister Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu was arrested, Chavitlo Praveen Kumar stood firmly in solidarity with his leader. Along with fellow lawyers, he set up a tent in front of Alur Court and organized a relay protest, declaring, “మేము సైతం బాబు కోసం.” This courageous act demonstrated his unwavering loyalty to the party and its leadership during a critical time.

• Key Role in TDP’s Electoral Successes
  Chavitlo Praveen Kumar has played a pivotal and consistent role in the Telugu Desam Party’s victories in the Alur Constituency. From 2012 to 2026, he has actively participated in every election campaign, meticulously working at the grassroots level to mobilize voters, strengthen party organization, and ensure TDP’s success. His strategic efforts and dedication have significantly contributed to the party’s winning performance in the region over the years.
• Strong Protest by Alur Bar Association Against Fabricated Atrocity Case
  In a powerful demonstration of unity and solidarity, lawyers under the leadership of the Alur Bar Association boycotted court duties and staged a protest against the fabrication of a false ‘atrocity case’ filed against Advocate Ravi. Addressing the gathering as President of the Alur Bar Association, Chavitlo Praveen Kumar strongly condemned the misuse of law. He stated that the case was maliciously registered using caste as a pretext to intimidate and harass the advocate. He further highlighted that the complainant, Gadilinga, himself has multiple pending cases against him.

On this occasion, the Alur Bar Association unanimously passed a resolution demanding strict disciplinary action against Gadilinga for filing a fabricated and unlawful case. This firm stand taken by Chavitlo Praveen Kumar showcased his commitment to upholding justice and protecting the dignity of the legal fraternity.
