Mr. Challa Mohan Rao is an Indian Politician of the BRS Party and Village Sarpanch of Tanikella of Konijerla Mandal in Khammam District, Telangana.
EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION:
On the 10th of March 1986, Mohan Rao was born and raised by the couple Mr. Challa Krishna and Mrs. Challa Saraswati in the Village of Tanikella in Konijerla Mandal of Khammam District in the Indian state of Telangana.
In 2000, Mohan Rao acquired his Secondary Board of Education from Zilla Parishad High School at Tanikella and completed his Intermediate Education at Spectra Junior College at Khammam in 2002.
Mr. Rao pursued higher education and graduated from Priyadharshini Degree College, Khammam, in 2005. Having been actively involved in social welfare activities since his youth, he recognized the need to serve his community and contribute to its development. This led him to join politics and serve as the Village Sarpanch of Tanikella, a position he currently holds.
As a leader, Mr. Challa Mohan Rao has been actively involved in various initiatives to promote his constituents’ welfare. He has championed causes such as healthcare, education, and sanitation and has been instrumental in implementing several development projects in the village. CAREER IN POLITICS:
Involvement in Indian National Congress(INC)-
Mohan Rao, a passionate individual with a keen interest in politics, decided to join the Indian National Congress Party (INC) in 2004. His motive was to contribute towards fulfilling the political aspirations of the citizens and address the societal conflicts prevailing in the country. He felt that by becoming a part of the INC, he could actively participate in the democratic process and positively impact society.
As an Active Party Member, Mohan Rao dedicates himself wholeheartedly to the cause of the INC. He firmly believes that the party can gain better public exposure and reach more people through his efforts. He participates in every party activity and diligently carries out his responsibilities, adhering to a strict code of conduct.
Due to his exceptional services to the community, Mohan Rao was nominated as the 14th Ward Member of Tanikella of Konijerla Mandal from the INC party during the general elections held in 2009. This election victory enabled him to take on a more active role in fulfilling his obligations toward the people and addressing their challenges.

Mohan Rao joined the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) in 2010, a political party founded by the current Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and President of YSRCP, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
As a committed party member, Mohan Rao has shown great enthusiasm and actively participates in all party activities. He follows a strict code of conduct and strives to enhance the party’s public image through his efforts.

- Additionally, culverts have been constructed in Y.T Colony at a cost of approximately 6 lakhs, ensuring the smooth flow of water during the rainy season. - In addition to road construction, the village has also witnessed the construction of CC drainage in Bandi Wari Bazar, costing approximately 7 lakhs. This drainage system has been designed to ensure that the rainwater flows smoothly and does not create any waterlogging issues during monsoons.
- Furthermore, the Gram Panchayat Office Road Construction of CC Road, constructed at a cost of approximately 5 lakhs, has been instrumental in improving the connectivity to the government offices. The construction of CC road to Ramalayam Bazar, costing approximately 4 lakhs, has also facilitated better access to the religious sites in the village.
- In another significant development, the construction of CC road in Oddera Colony has been carried out with approximately 10 lakhs. This road has contributed to the betterment of the living standards of the residents, enabling them to have easy access to the necessary facilities.
- Finally, the construction of CC Road at Galibu Rama Rao Bazar, costing approximately 6 lakhs, has been another major success in improving the connectivity in the village. This road has been constructed with high-quality materials and has been designed to cater to the needs of the villagers.

- Sanitation works worth approximately 1 crore rupees have been completed in the last three years, ensuring that the village is clean and hygienic. These projects have included moving, bleaching, drainage, mulching, and mosquito repellent, ensuring that the residents are protected from any potential health hazards.
- The Gram Panchayat building has also been modernized with a budget of approximately 3.5 lakhs. This project has been completed successfully, and we believe it will provide a more comfortable and efficient workspace for the elected officials.
- Garbage collection has been improved significantly, with garbage being collected every three days and closely supervised to ensure that the village remains clean and hygienic.
