I Boyina Narayana Murthy was born on August 6, 1957, in the serene Budithi Village of Srikakulam District, Andhra Pradesh. I began my career as a Technician Apprentice at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. in Visakhapatnam. It was here that I developed a hands-on understanding of industrial processes. Joining the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Satellite Center in Bangalore was a defining moment in my life. As a Technical Assistant, I contributed to groundbreaking space exploration projects for over four years. Being part of “Project Anuradha” in 1985 was an extraordinary experience. This cosmic ray experiment, a collaborative effort among TIFR, PRL, and ISRO, was a pioneering achievement. Receiving commendation from Prof. S. Biswas for my contributions to this historic endeavor remains one of the proudest moments of my career.

I transitioned to Siemens Ltd. in Bombay as a Senior Tool Room Engineer, where I specialized in advanced tool room operations. This role allowed me to deepen my expertise in precision engineering and solidify my reputation as a dependable professional. At Shriram Refrigeration Industries Ltd. in Hyderabad, I took on the role of Assistant Manager in charge of the Tool Room. The entrepreneurial spark within me led to the founding of Vasantha Tools Crafts Private Limited in 1989. As Executive Director, I guided the company for three and a half years, laying the groundwork for innovation and sustainability. As Managing Director, I nurtured this venture into a thriving organization with over 400 employees. In 1994, driven by a passion for precision engineering, I founded the company with the vision of creating a tool room that could meet the growing demands of the industry, particularly in the field of Dies and Moulds. As a young engineer, I was determined to craft high-quality moulds, and this drive to excel in technology became the foundation of the business.

Valve Body Manufacturing:
As a critical component of the hydraulic assembly known as the Control Valve, the valve body is integral to tractors produced by M/s. Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., a QS-9000 certified company. Recognizing its importance, I established a dedicated manufacturing line equipped with 17 machines to ensure precision and consistency. By consistently achieving a Cp and Cpk value of >1.33, I have earned the distinction of being the Single Vendor for this vital part. My customer’s satisfaction with the quality of our output underscores our dedication to excellence.

The manufacturing line features a strategic mix of CNC and conventional machines, with tool regrinding operations managed by skilled operators. Beyond the valve body, I am also setting up a production facility to manufacture hydraulic fittings for M/s. Parker Hannifin India Ltd., focusing on pump parts and other essential components.
