Mr. Bhukya Nageswar Rao is the State General Secretary of the Singareni Scheduled Tribes Employees Welfare Association, Telangana.
CHILDHOOD AND EDUCATION:
On May 1, 1977, Bhukya Nageswar Rao was born to Mr. Bhukya Balu and Mrs. Bhukya Manga. He grew up in Tekulapalli Village, Bhadradri-Kothagudem District, Telangana, India.
In 1993, Nageswar Rao acquired his secondary school certificate from Zilla Parishad High School at Tekulapalli and completed his intermediate education at Ramachandra Degree College at Kothagudem in 1995.
He received his ITI from Krishna Sagar ITI College in Bhadrachalam and his diploma from Warangal Polytechnic College.
Nageswar Rao graduated from the Ramachandra Degree College at Kothagudem in Bhadadri-Kothagudem District in 1998.
PROFESSIONAL LIFE:
After finishing his education, Mr. Nageswar Rao became a professional as the Electrical Foremen Incharge and simultaneously handled his family responsibilities.
A SOCIAL LIFE CAREER:
As a Singareni Employee:-
In 1997, Nageswar Rao got a job as a professional at Singareni. This allowed him to be responsible at a young age while continuing his education and performing his duties as a responsible employee.
Participation in Singareni SC and ST Employees Welfare Association:-
Nageswar Rao joined the Singareni Scheduled Tribes and Schedule Caste Employees Welfare Association in 1997. he holds a Membership in this association and continued his services as a member to serve the people in all ways by working all the time for the welfare of humankind comprehensively by citing the code of conduct and disciplinary issues and took the membership in this association.
Within a Span of time, Nageswar Rao was designated as the SC and ST Employees Welfare Association RG1 Secretary in 2000 and has served with gratitude and perpetually working hard for the well-being of society.
As an SC and ST Employees Welfare Association Central Committee Vice President in 2002, he demonstrated his commitment to the people by continuously working for their well-being and development and striving to benefit them.
He was promoted to SC and ST Employees Welfare Association Vice President in 2005 for his tenacity, with the mandate to carry out his duties only for the sake of the people without jeopardizing the party’s confidence in him.
For his humility and dedication towards work, Nageswar Rao was appointed as the Bhupalapalli Area Branch Secretary of the Singareni Scheduled Tribes and Schedule Caste Employees Welfare Association in 2009 to serve the people in every way by guiding himself to them in times of need and his innate sense of humor made him a great man with humanity.
Participation in Singareni ST Employees Welfare Association:-
The National Commission separated the merged SC into Separate in 2004 as part of its efforts to advance the inferior classes. Nageswar Rao fought for the backward classes to have a separate ST employee association in singareni.
His constant attention and pure dedication to service in 2010 led to his promotion to the ST Employees Welfare Association Working President to promote the proper focus towards the need for effective and comprehensive expansion in people by doing his part to overcome the hardships faced by the people.
In 2012, he reinforced his service and worked as the Central Committee Joint Secretary of the Singareni Scheduled Tribes Employees Welfare Association by strengthening his responsibilities, constantly considering their well-being, and gaining the esteem of the population.
In 2015, Nageswar Rao won the Kothagudem Scheduled Tribes Central Office Elections by a significant majority of votes and became the General Secretary. He fulfilled his responsibilities for the welfare of the people and followed a code of conduct, and worked towards gaining recognition. In both the subsequent elections of 2018 and 2022, Nageswar Rao was overwhelmingly elected by the Singareni ST people to govern them for two consecutive terms.
Main Agenda of Nageswar Rao:
According to the Government Order Number 34 Tribal Empowerment Policy, the land was given to singaneri people who lost their homes in singareni coal mines, and approximately 400 family houses were destroyed to ensure that employment was provided for every single person from every house.
According to the State Government, Singareni residents have a 6% ST reservation. This 6% reservation must be applied to the residents of Singareni.Prior to 2015, the population of Singareni was 4.9%; this figure must be raised by 1.1%, and 665 new jobs must be created.
Involvement for the welfare of the ST People:
- Mr. Nageswar Rao was overwhelmingly chosen three times as the association’s candidate for leadership, and he supervised the welfare of the Singareni people while in authority.
- Nageswar Rao met with the district collector and Project Officers to establish the Girijana Cooperative Society through ITDA, and nearly 500 members were given jobs in the surrounding singareni tribes. The contract was given to the people by Nageswar Rao, and they were allocated nearly eight to tent tasks. They were the contractors, and the contract was provided to them as a means of earning a living.
- According to Government Order 59, the state government rule, the rule of contract works, and the rule of reservation works must be implemented in singareni. Nageswar Rao met with the tribal, national commission, state tribal minister Satyavathi Rathod, Mr. Sridhar, and director Balaram to implement Government Order 59 in singareni. According to the 10% reservation, nine persent jobs were given to others and 1% to ST people.
- A committee was established in singareni under the guidance of the secretary and key played officer to determine whether or not the Roster Register Verification (ROR) was being followed while giving employment opportunities to the tribes in singareni. This was verified by Nageswar Rao and team.
- Mr. Nageswar Rao verified the job availability postings in around eleven regions of the Bhadadri-Kothagudem District and filled up the Roaster Register to benefit singareni personnel.
- Nageswar Rao exerted great effort to increase the working percentage of Singareni personnel to give them financial rewards for their achievement in the association.
- In kothagudem, the students’ pass percentage was decreasing, so Nageswar Rao and his team distributed an all-in-one guide to the students in the minority hostal, and the singareni people taught the students Maths, English, and Science subjects, assisting them in increasing their pass percentage.
- Nageswar Rao and his staff assisted students in singareni with diploma and poltechnic coaching, as well as technical education and police training.
- Nageswar Rao and the team raised awareness of the SC and ST reservations and notified them of their social prospects.
- He has been struggling hard for the rights and reservations of the Singareni people to grant them loans, pensions, and other schemes that benefit their lives.
- He has constantly been fighting against anti-people decisions of the central and state governments and has staged many protests and dharnas.
- Vegetables, food, and other vital commodities were handed to the needy inhabitants of Singareni on behalf of the Union and also personally helped.
- Nageswar Rao and the team fought over every issue related to SC and ST communities regarding land issues and other cases. He solved many occupied land issues with the assistance of higher officials.
Activities Performed:
- Many service activities were organized, including blankets for beggars, clothes for the poor, and food for orphaned children.
- Helped a lot financially for the migrant workers and the poor. Free meals were provided to orphans and the elderly each year.
- Nageswar Rao distributed food, clothing, and Bed sheets to the Orphan Children and helped them by donating a certain amount whenever required.
- He helped tenth-grade students get top grades by conducting free tutorial classes in mathematics and science and distributing free study materials.
- Nageswar Rao assists the students in qualifying for the Polytechnic Entrance Exam.
- He has performed many social activities in the village, such as providing food to the Old aged and Orphan Children, Mineral water to the Villagers.
- Nageswar Rao continues to fight to eradicate the idea of caste and religious differences in society and does his part for human equality.
- Regular awareness programs will be conducted in the schools about the importance of education and motivate the school children to reach their goals for a bright future.
- He helped the old and poor people in the village by providing the bare essentials to them for survival and also assisted them during the financial crisis.
- Nageswar Rao offered financial support and other kinds of relief to the village’s needy people and will be accessible to its residents during their tough times.
- Nageswar Rao is fighting with the government to provide proper employment to the unemployed who are worried about getting the right job even after graduation.
- He also presents sports kits to the athletes who enthusiastically participate in sports competitions in the village and the zone.
Services rendered during the pandemic:
- During the first and second waves of Corona, Nageswar Rao provided financial and humanitarian assistance to people affected by the lockdown. During the crisis, and acted with compassion, assisting those in need and extending further support to those affected by the lockdown.
- Throughout the crisis, they responded generously, rescuing those in need, offering special attention to those affected by the lockdown, and offering the less fortunate face masks, hand sanitizers, lunches, and income support.
- He snuck up to help those impacted by the lockdown by distributing veggies and fruits to communities, the homeless, and Municipality workers according to the established protocols.
- He assisted the impoverished by providing masks, hand sanitizers, food, and financial support.
- A gathering was organized to raise awareness about social distancing and the need to adopt preventative measures to prevent the Corona Epidemic from spreading.
- When the coronavirus was successfully eradicated, villagers were sprayed with sodium hypochlorite solution to guarantee they were not subjected to any negative consequences.
