I am Bellamkonda Sharath Goud, from Kusumanchi Village in the Khammam District of Andhra Pradesh. From a young age, I have been deeply ingrained with the values of community service and public welfare, owing much to the exemplary legacy set by my grandfather, Shri: Bellamkonda Venkataramulu, a revered freedom fighter and former Sarpanch of Kusumanchi Mandal HQ.

My educational journey commenced in Khammam, where I completed my schooling at the Indo-English High School, followed by my intermediate education at Chaitanya Junior College. Subsequently, I pursued my graduation at Kavitha Memorial Degree College, graduating in 2010. Driven by a passion for knowledge, I embarked on further academic pursuits, culminating in attaining a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Kakatiya University in 2016.

My entry into the realm of politics was influenced by a profound sense of duty towards public service, rooted in my family’s longstanding commitment to social welfare. Since 2003, I have been actively involved in various political endeavors, from serving as the Gram Panchayat Coordinator in Gandhi Patham to assuming leadership roles in student politics at both college and university levels.

Throughout my journey within the Indian Youth Congress (IYC), I have had the privilege of holding diverse responsibilities, each contributing to my growth as a leader and a dedicated servant of the people. From grassroots activism to strategic roles in social media coordination and electoral management, I have endeavored to uphold the principles of integrity, inclusivity, and progress.

As I continue on this journey of service and leadership, I remain steadfast in my commitment to representing the aspirations and concerns of the people I serve. With humility and determination, I strive to leverage my experiences and expertise to contribute towards the betterment of society and the advancement of our great nation.

An Insight into His Life and Accomplishments:

Bellamkonda Sharath Goud was born on December 21st in Kusumanchi Village of Khammam District of Andhra Pradesh, into a family deeply rooted in community values. His grandfather, Bellamkonda Venkataramulu, a freedom fighter, served as the Sarpanch of Kusumanchi Mandal HQ for 7.5 years, making significant contributions to the village’s development, particularly in education and healthcare infrastructure.

Sharath Goud’s educational journey began, in Khammam where he completed the Indo-English High School, Khammam, where he completed his SSC qualification in 2004. He then pursued his Intermediate education at Chaitanya Junior College, graduating in 2006. Continuing his academic journey, he enrolled at Kavitha Memorial Degree College, Khammam, where he obtained his graduation degree in 2010.

Sharath’s dedication to knowledge led him to further academic pursuits. In 2016, he became a Research Scholar at Kakatiya University, delving deeper into his field. Notably, he accomplished a Master’s Degree in Biotechnology at Kakatiya University, further enriching his educational journey with expertise and accomplishment.

Family Heritage and Embarking Political Journey-

Sharath Goud’s foray into politics was deeply influenced by his family’s legacy, with his political journey beginning in 2003. His involvement in politics was hereditary, with a family history deeply rooted in public service.

Appointment as Gram Panchayat Coordinator-

In 2003, Sharath Goud was appointed as the Gram Panchayat Coordinator in Gandhi Patham. This significant step marked the initiation of his official political career. His appointment was facilitated by Shri. Veerappa Moily, the former Chief Minister and Central Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister.

Involvement & Responsibilities in NSUI-

Organizing at College and University Levels:
During his time at College and University, Sharath Goud actively participated in organizing meetings and events. His engagement with the National Union of Students of India (NSUI) at both college and university levels provided him with invaluable experience and exposure in the realm of student politics.

Dedicated Service in College Politics and Local Governance-

During his tenure from 2007 to 2010, Sharath Goud served as a prominent member of the College level National Student Union of India, affiliated with the INC. His significant contributions extended beyond the realm of administrative responsibilities, reflecting a steadfast commitment to enhancing the well-being and progress of the community. Through his esteemed position, he exemplified unwavering dedication to uplifting the residents and actively engaging in local governance initiatives.

Leadership at Kakatiya University Union-

During the period spanning from 2010 to 2012, Sharath Goud took on the pivotal role of Kakatiya University Union leader for the NSUI. In September 2014, Sharath Goud secured the position of General Secretary with a remarkable electoral victory, obtaining the second-highest number of votes in the Youth Congress Khammam Parliament elections. In 2016, Sharath Goud exhibited compassion by donating spectacles to approximately 250 individuals in need, residing in Kusumanchi village, in collaboration with the ESR Foundation. Additionally, in November 2015, he organized eye camps, facilitating free cataract surgeries for visually impaired individuals, and in August 2016, he conducted a health camp, providing free medicines to those in need.

Disaster Relief and Support-
During times of distress, Sharath Goud extended a helping hand. In August 2018, he contributed 12,000 to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund for the Kerala flood victims. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, his service was especially notable, as he assisted numerous individuals facing health and financial challenges, earning recognition as a “CORONA WARRIOR” from the Public Welfare Foundation in New Delhi in June 2020.

Educational Initiatives–
Recognizing the importance of education, Sharath Goud donated books to a library in Kusumanchi in 2020, particularly aimed at aiding students preparing for competitive exams. This gesture exemplifies his commitment to supporting educational endeavors within the community.

Beyond humanitarian efforts, Sharath Goud actively participates in civic and political events. He served as a committee member for the Rajiv Gandhi Ji Statue Foundation in Kusumanchi Main Center in May 2023 and participated in events commemorating leaders like Sardar Saravi Papanna Goud, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Phule, and Ambedkar, ensuring their legacies are honored and remembered.

Health Advocacy and Blood Donation–
Sharath Goud’s commitment to health extends to organizing blood donation camps, such as the one conducted in March 2019, where donated blood to the MGM Hospital Blood Bank in Warangal. Such initiatives reflect his dedication to promoting health and well-being within the community.
