Mr. Banoth Venkata Praveen Kumar Naik, known professionally as Venkata Praveen Kumar Naik, is an esteemed Social Activist and Politician who, rather than confining his duties to a particular field, has been compelled to deliver social service in a broad range of interests by fulfilling the requirements of people on respectively an individual and a societal levels. He has held positions of political authority as the ZPTC of Kamepalli Mandal and also working as the State President of the Adivasi Girijana Vikasa Parishad for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION:
Mr. Banoth Venkata Praveen Kumar Naik was born in the village of Govindarala in Kamepalli Mandal of Khammam District in the Indian state of Telangana on March 22, 1991. His parents were Mr. Banoth Laxman Naik and Mrs. Banoth Shantha Naik.
He earned his Secondary Board of Education with 70% in 2006 from Chaitanya Residential High School in Uppal, Medchal- Malkajgiri District; in 2010, he attended Balanagar, Hyderabad’s Central Institute of Tool Design College, to obtain his Diploma in Tool and Die Making (DTDM) with 70%.
2013 marked Praveen Naik’s graduation from the Princeton Institute of Engineering and Technology in Ghatkesar with a B.Tech. Despite having extensive family responsibilities, he consistently achieved excellent career and educational success.
CAREER IN EARLY POLITICS
Involvement in NSUI:
Praveen Naik joined the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), the student wing of INC, in 2006 while completing his education and began assisting students regardless of ethnicity, religion, language, or creed.
Under the auspices of NSUI, he has been involved in the issues that students are experiencing.
Role and Participation in TDP:
Under the Leadership of Having joined the Telugu Nadu Student Federation(TNSF), the Student wing of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), in 2009, Praveen Naik’s political career started to attain the political requirements of the people while also providing a specific service.
As a Member of the TDP, Praveen Naik takes a keen interest in and participates in all activities as a Party Activist by carrying out his obligations by a code of conduct and for the recognition of the relevant party.
Praveen Naik was appointed as the TNSF District General Secretary of Rangareddy for TDP from 2009 to 2012 to serve the people in all ways by working all the time thoroughly for the benefit of humanity, citing the code of conduct and disciplinary concerns.
Positions and Responsibilities in YSR Congress Party:
Praveen Naik has intended to be able to do all services to the people politically, Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy, the founder of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party(YSRCP) in 2011, was enchanted by the services rendered to the people and he joined the YSRCP party and served as a Leader of the Party.

In 2014, Praveen Naik Contested for the honorable post of MPTC of Kamepalli Mandal and Maddulapalli Village from YSRCP; however, the seat was vacated, and the exact position was granted to the opponent from the ruling party owing to a little discrepancy in the vote percentage.
Accountable and Power in Indian National Congress Party(INC)-
Under the presence and Leadership of Mr. Ramreddy Damodar Reddy(TPCC Vice President), Mr. Ram Reddy Gopal Reddy (TPCC General Secretary), and Mr. Durga Prasad(DCC Khammam), On 24th of April 2019, Praveen Naik became a Member of the Indian National Congress (INC), a political party that was established by Dadabhai Naroji and is improvements in productivity by Sonia Gandhi. Services Rendered during the Covid-19 Pandemic:
- Amidst the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic, Banoth Venkata Praveen Kumar Naik, a prominent political figure in Kamepalli ZPTC, demonstrated remarkable leadership by extending support to the people of the Yellandu Constituency. He incurred expenses worth nearly 3,75,000 rupees for the distribution of sanitizers and 12,50,000 rupees for spraying Sodium Hypochlorite Solution to ensure the safety and well-being of the people.
- Furthermore, Praveen Kumar Naik also extended his support by distributing 15,000 Personal Protective Equipment Kits and Masks to those afflicted by Covid-19. Not stopping there, he also handed 40 tonnes of rice bags, equivalent to 45 lakhs of rupees, to impoverished individuals in the Kamepalli Mandal.

Protests and Dharnas:
- Police officials at Banjarahills Police Station detained and arrested Banoth Venkata Praveen Kumar Naik, the Kamepalli ZPTC member who organized a dharna program in response to TPCC’s call for a protest against the Telangana state government’s misappropriation of Sarpanchs’ funds, which obstructed their duties and weakened the Sarpanch system.
- Furthermore, the Kamepalli Mandal Congress Committee joined a Dharna program organized by the All India Congress Committee (AICC) and Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) in the Yellandu constituency center. The protest aimed to challenge the Central and State governments’ anti-people decisions, including exorbitant increases in cooking gas, petrol, diesel, GST, electricity charges, RTC charges, and essential items.
- Under the leadership of Malkajgiri District President Nandikanti Sridhar, Banoth Venkata Praveen Kumar Naik, the ZPTC of Kamepalli Mandal organized a protest against the Agneepath at the Indira Gandhi Center. This Satyagraha Deeksha aimed to highlight the issue of the government’s neglect of the people’s plight and was graced by the presence of Mr. Revanth Reddy, the president of TPCC, as the chief guest.

- In preparation for the Revanth Reddy Hot Se Hot Jodo Padayatra, a meeting of Congress ranks was held under the leadership of TPCC General Secretary Ram Reddy Gopal Reddy under the supervision of the Kamepalli Mandal Congress Committee and the chairmanship of Mandal President Ginjala Narasimha Reddy

- The Kamepalli Congress leaders were dissatisfied with the ruling TRS administration and their lack of efforts to support farmers’ interests. In a political move, they marched to the Tehsildar’s office in Kamepalli Mandal to protest and present a petition with several requests to the Deputy Tehsildar. The Mandal Congress party expressed solidarity with the twelve-day-long demonstration in front of the Kamepalli and Yellandu Tehsildar Office, recognizing the need for a broader-scale movement to address farmers’ issues throughout the state.
- Through their political actions, the Kamepalli Congress leaders and committee members aimed to bring attention to the struggles faced by farmers and advocate for their needs to be met. The Kamepally ZPTC Yellandu Constituency Leader, Banoth Venkata Praveen Kumar Naik, also organized a dharna in front of the Tallagudem SBI branch, where he presented a petition with various requests to SBI Manager Shiva Kumar. These requests included immediate removal of farmers’ accounts from hold, loan waivers to be paid to farmers by the government, new loans to be given to farmers unconditionally, renewal of old loans, and zero-interest subsidies to be given to farmers’ accounts to reduce the interest burden on Dwakra loans.
- In a large open meeting conducted in Warangal, Mandal Congress Committee presidents Ginjala Narasimha Reddy and Banoth Venkata Praveen Kumar Naik announced a series of promises for the state’s farmers. These included a loan waiver of two lakh rupees in a single period, an agricultural investment of Rs 15,000 per acre, payment to tenant farmers, a cash deposit of 12,000 per year in the account of employment guarantee workers, abolition of the Dharani portal, linkage of employment guarantee funds to agriculture, as well as compensation and insurance for hired personnel. Moreover, responding to the TPCC’s appeal, the Mandal Congress Committee arranged the Rythu Declaration Racha Banda Program in Garidepalli and Barlagudem villages to address farmers and workers.
