Banoth Shankar Naik

Banoth Shankar Naik was the Member of the Legislative Assembly(MLA) of Mahabubabad Constituency from the TRS Party.

He was born in 1968 to Kevla Naik &  Banoth Baju Bhai in Rayaparthi village of Mahabubabad, Telangana.

He has completed B.Tech from REC Engineering college, Warangal from 1985-1990. He has completed MBA from Kakatiya University in 2009. Basically, he hails from an Agricultural family. He has Business.

He worked as an Assistant Executive Engineer in the Irrigation department before he entered into politics. He resigned from his job and joined Praja Rajyam Party. Shankar was contested as MLA from Praja Rajyam Party but he lost.

In 2009, He joined the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) party. He has actively participated in the Telangana movement.

In 2014, in Telangana Legislative Elections, he was won the post of Member of Legislative Assembly(MLA) with the highest majority of 78,370 votes from the TRS party.

In 2018, Telangana Legislative Elections, he was elected as Member of Legislative Assembly(MLA) of Mahabubabad Constituency with the highest majority of 85397 votes from the TRS party.
