Baasu Shyamala Hanumanthu Naidu is the ZPTC of Jogulamba Gadwal from the TRS party. She was born on 15th August 1986 to the couple Narayana Reddy and Sharadhamma. Shyamala married Hanumanthu Naidu.
Education Background:
In 2002, Shyamala completed her schooling at Navodhaya high school, located at Gadwal. She earned an Intermediate from Krishnaveni junior college, Gadwal.
Basically, she came from an Agricultural family.
A career in Politics:
Hanumanthu Naidu came into politics with the determination to achieve something that would benefit the people and bring the country into development. He was the Active Member of the TRS party. During his regime, many welfare activities came to light. The people of Balgera were fully satisfied with his leadership.
Hanumanthu Naidu was appointed and served as President of the Association of Sarpanches from Balgera village.
Hanumanthu Naidu’s wife Shyamala, who saw her husband’s fame and prestige in politics, also wanted to get into politics. She started her Political Career with the Telangana Rashtra Samiti(TRS) party. She took party responsibilities under the auspicious of Gadwal’s Former MLA Ghattu Bheemudu. With the motivation of her husband, she contested and was elected as Vice Sarpanch from Balgera village in 2012.
In 2014, Shyamala was selected and took charge as ZPTC from Jogulamba Gadwal. She served as the mission of public development during her ZPTC term. She maintained the same focus and commitment throughout her ZPTC regime. The residents of Balgera who saw Shyamala’s leadership, morality, and her ideology of doing equal justice to all the people, were elected again as the ZPTC in 2019 from the TRS party.
Shyamala, who started her political career as a Vice-Sarpanch, faced many setbacks, faced everything for the welfare of the people, and moved forward.
Telangana Movement:
The Telangana movement refers to a movement for the creation of a new state, Telangana, from the pre-existing state of Andhra Pradesh in India. After several years of protest and agitation, the central government, under the United Progressive Alliance, decided to bifurcate the existing Andhra Pradesh state, and on 07-February-2014, the Union Cabinet unilaterally cleared the bill for the creation of Telangana. Lasting for almost a decade, this has been one of the most long-lasting movements in South India. In 2002, Kamalakar played an active role during the late 2000s Telangana Separate State Movement spearheaded by now-CM, K.Chandrashekar Rao.
Shyamala Hanumanthu Naidu took part in Hunger Strikes, Rally, Protest Programs, Million March, Chalo Hyderabad, Vanta-Varpu, and Bike Rallies, as a part of the Telangana Movement. Shyamala and Hanumanthu Naidu played a major role in Sakalajanula Samme, Rail Roko, and Palle Bata as part of the Telangana Movement.
Shyamala Hanumanthu Naidu financially assisted the temples in the Ghattu Mandal. They did social services in the Orphanage such as donating clothes, bedsheets, money, etc.
Activities During Shyamala Hanumanthu’s ZPTC Regime:
- Gattu ZPTC Mrs.Baasu Shyamala Hanumanthu handed over a check for Rs.67,2000 Handloom workers. She later said that the handloom workers should take advantage of all the schemes offered by the Telangana government. Baasu Hanumanthu Naidu, President of Gattu Sarpanchula Sangham, Macharla Sarpanch, Siddi Ramappa, TRS leaders Ali, and others were present on the occasion.
- ZPTC Shyamala Hanumanthu participated in the “Raithu Bandu Sambaralu”. At the ZPHS school, at the Gatta Mandal Center, essay, lecture, and painting competitions were organized with the students as part of the Raithu Bandu Sambaralu. The competitions were organized to explain the Raithu Bandu and farmer insurance introduced by the Telangana government Chief Minister KCR. ZPTC Mrs. Baasu Shyamala Hanumanthu Naidu inspected the competitions and also inspected the students’ lunches. The event was attended by AO Bhaskar Reddy, Headmaster of the school, Teachers, Agriculture Officers, and school staff.
- Gattu Mandal ZPTC Mrs. Basu Shyamala Hanumanthu Naidu participated in the IEC (Indian Education Collective) meeting held at the Primary High School in Gattu Mandal Balgera village. Addressing the teachers, ZPTC said that all schools in the academy zone should be provided with new teaching and learning in line with the changing times. The event was attended by MEO Konda Reddy, PRTU Presidents, and others.
- The TRS leaders chanted slogans against the central government and burnt the effigy as per the party directives that the central government should burn the effigy of Narendra Modi in protest against the attitude of the central government across Telangana state. TRS leaders said the protest would continue till the central government buys all the paddy grown in Telangana.
- Gattu MP J.Vijay Kumar and ZPTC Basu Shyamala released the “Yasangi Crop Plan”. Yasangi crop plans were released in the presence of honorary public representatives and farmers at the Mandal Center.
Pandemic Services
-Shyamala Hanumanthu Naidu rendered his service to the people of Balgera village even during the corona which terrorized the whole country.
-He distributed food and rice bags to the migrants and also contributed to them financially.
-He donates rice bags, vegetables, and medicine to covid victims who are suffering from covid and cannot go out to fetch food.
-He also supported the poor financially by providing essential goods for those who could not find employment or food due to the lockdown.
-Provided annadhanam program to the Police, Municipal, and front-line workers who served a lot during the corona crisis.
-Conducted awareness programs on the maintenance of Physical distance and following precautionary measures to prevent the epidemic in Corona.
-Shyamala Hanumanthu Naidu also put his effort during the covid second wave.
-He distributed vegetables and fruits to the village people and needy people.
-Awareness camps and seminars were organized on the Covid-19 vaccine and the effects of the virus.
-Organized awareness programs on precautions to be taken to prevent covid and said no need to panic.
-The area infected with the coronavirus has been declared a red zone and people have been given proper precautions and instructions.
