Attada Ravi Babji

Mr. Attada Swami Rama Krishna Ravi Babji is an Indian Politician of the BJP and a State Executive Member of Andhra Pradesh.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION:

On the 11th of December 1966, Mr. Attada Ravi Babji was born and raised by the couple Mr. Attada Appalnaidu and Mrs. Attada Ammayamma in Srikakulam town in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.

Upto 05th Standard, Ravi studied at Municipal Elementary School at Srikakulam. In 1981, Ravi acquired his SSC Standard from PSNMH High School at Srikakulam and completed his Intermediate from Government Junior College at Srikakulam in 1983.

He graduated from BVK Degree College in Visakhapatnam in 1986. In 1988, He finished his PG Diploma from the Institute of Human Resource Development Department(GOI) at Vizag(Smaraka Vidhya Peet), his LLB from Ambedkar University in 1992, and his B.Law from Andhra University with Ambedkar PG Extension Center in 1994.

EARLY CAREER IN POLITICS:
Ravi Babji’s humble beginnings instilled a sense of duty toward his community and a passion for politics. After completing his education, Ravi Babji was drawn toward the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a right-wing organization promoting Hindu nationalism and cultural values. 

Before completing his education in 1990, Ravi Babji entered politics with a passion for serving the people by joining the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad(ABVP). He served as an ABVP Member to promote the proper perspective toward the need for holistic and sustainable student development.

In 1990, Ravi Babji joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), driven by his desire to serve the people and bring about positive change in their lives. He quickly rose through the ranks and established himself as a dedicated party activist, working tirelessly to promote the BJP’s ideology and goals. 

Ravi Babji takes a genuine interest in the Party. He participates proactively in every activity, executing his responsibilities by a code of conduct and for the benefit of the party’s public exposure.

As the District Executive Member of Srikakulam in 1992, Ravi Babji has continued to be a powerful force for change, advocating for the rights and interests of farmers and working towards developing rural communities. His tireless efforts have helped improve countless people’s lives in the region and cemented his reputation as a leader of great integrity and vision.

His leadership skills and commitment to the party’s cause earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and the wider community.

In 1994, Ravi Babji earned the people’s trust and was elected as the District President of Srikakulam by the BJYM. Through his unwavering commitment to the betterment of society, he has served with integrity and fully adhered to a strict code of conduct.

In 1996, Ravi Babji’s relentless dedication and hard work culminated in his appointment as the BJYM State Executive Member of Andhra Pradesh by the BJP, a position he held until 1998. His primary objective was to ensure that the people’s needs were met and contribute towards the vast expansion of the party, thereby overcoming the challenges faced by the community.

Ravi Babji continues to hold the trust and confidence of the people. He remains dedicated to his role in the party as a Parliament Convener of Srikakulam from 1999 to 2000, focusing on initiatives that promote the well-being of society and drive the growth and success of the BJP. He ramped up his service and effort by accepting the prestigious position of  Telecom Advisory Committee District Member of Srikakulam from 1999 to 2004 to provide care for the people and their difficulties, and he worked in that capacity.

In addition to his primary responsibilities, he was appointed and served as a Town President of Srikakulam in 2000 to ensure that the initial and subsequent tasks ran smoothly.

As a result of his exceptional service and genuine effort, Ravi Babji was appointed as the Parliament Convener of Srikakulam by the BJP in 2004. He has remained steadfast in his commitment to the people, always putting their welfare first, and has received tremendous public acclaim for his efforts till 2006

Recognizing Ravi Babji’s services to the people, he was appointed as the Andhra Pradesh State Executive Member by the BJP from 2006-2009 to empower him to fulfill his obligations and tackle the issues.

For his determination, he was promoted as the National Council Member of the BJP in 2009 to discharge his duties only for the people’s good without compromising on the trust placed in him by the party up to 2012.

Ravi Babji was promoted as the Parliament Legal Convener of Srikakulam from BJP from 2012 to 2015 after receiving the authority and carrying out all operations as his commitment to the welfare of the people and by carrying out his complete compliance with a code of conduct and also the benefit of the recognition.

He earned the people’s admiration by holding out the commitments, obligations, and powers assigned to him. As a result, he was honored as the State Executive Member of Andhra Pradesh of BJP from 2015 to 2019. He has served many people through his kind heart by carrying out the tasks assigned to him and earning the people’s response.

In addition to his fundamental ethics, Ravi Babji was selected and served as the Central Government Standing Committee Member in 2018. 

Ravi Babji was appointed as the Zonal Railway User Consultative Committee Member of Srikakulam in 2018 and served the people in his assigned position by addressing their concerns.

He gained the support of the party and the people by carrying out the responsibilities, duties, and powers assigned to him. As a result, he was appointed as the District President of Srikakulam by BJP in 2020, where he has served solely for the benefit of the people and has not betrayed the trust that had been placed in him by the people to this day.

Since 2023, Ravi Babji has been serving as the Andhra Pradesh State Executive Member from BJP due to excessive commitments.

Ravi Babji’s journey from a small village in Telangana to a prominent political figure is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and commitment to the principles of the BJP. As he continues to serve the people of Telangana, his legacy will be one of selfless service and unwavering dedication to the cause of the people.

Contested Positions:

During the period of local body elections in 2000. Ravi Babji contested for the 13th Ward Councillor of Srikakulam from BJP; however, the contested position has been vacated.

Party Activities and Social Services:

• He fought for the immediate reduction of inflated petrol and diesel rates as the skyrocketing petrol and diesel costs would cause much trouble for the common man.
• He organized and actively participated in Mandal-level and Village level meetings, delivering motivational speeches to the youth and upcoming leaders at his own expense.
• During elections, he campaigned door-to-door in Dubbaka, working hard to secure victory for his local party.
• Ravi Babji devoted himself to numerous social service activities, promoting various state and central government schemes, building solid and cordial relationships with people from all walks of life and leadership, and advocating that party ideology should prioritize tackling unemployment rather than religious or caste differences.
• A dharna was organized to protest the state government’s inadequate provision of medical
• treatment for patients in government hospitals.
  He provided moral support to villagers and created employment opportunities for recent graduates struggling to find work after completing their education.
• Ravi Babji opposed the state government’s decision to abolish new agricultural laws and other policies that could have supported farmers in adapting to modern challenges.
• In areas where water was scarce during the summer, Chalivendram was established each year to provide clean drinking water.
• Ravi Babji’s diligent efforts to improve the plight of farmers during his tenure were recognized with a substantial financial reward for their produce.
• Ravi Babji engaged in various community activities in the village, including providing meals to the elderly and orphaned children and supplying mineral water to villagers.
• He provided financial and humanitarian aid to victims of fires in the villages who had suffered as a result of the flames.
• Ravi Babji was mainly concerned with student issues such as fee reimbursement and scholarship grants, working tirelessly to ensure students received scholarships as soon as possible.
• He served the elderly and needy members of the community by providing them with essential goods and services and financial assistance during times of hardship.
• A range of service activities, including distributing blankets to beggars, clothing to the needy, and meals to orphaned children, were planned and executed during the event.
• He championed the concerns and welfare of the people, with many successful development plans implemented in the colony thanks to his efforts.

Services provided during the Pandemic:

• Ravi Babji discreetly assisted people affected by the lockdown by providing vegetables and fruits to villages, homeless individuals, and municipal employees while adhering to established procedures.
• He distributed items such as masks, hand sanitizers, food, and monetary assistance to the poor.
• An awareness demonstration was organized to promote social distancing and preventive measures to eradicate the Covid epidemic.
• When the coronavirus was finally eradicated, sodium hypochlorite solution was sprayed throughout the village to ensure the villagers were not exposed to harmful effects.
• The Covid immunization drive was organized in response to Prime Minister Modi’s call for increased awareness of the importance of free vaccinations.
• During the pandemic, a door-to-door survey was conducted to raise awareness about Covid and promote preventive measures.
