APPANI HARISH VARMA

 

Appani Harish Varma is an Indian politician from the Southern Indian state of Telangana. He serves as the State Committee Member of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRSV) and Founder and State President of the THR Team.

Early Life:

Appani Harish Varma was born in Ramakrishnapur village of Karimnagar district on 22 February 1995 to Mrs. and Mr. Appani Papaiah in a simple family. His father is an agriculturist, and his mother is a homemaker.

Education:

He studied at the Board Secondary School Education in Kakatiya High School, located at Jammikunta, in 2010 after he completed his Intermediate in Govt Junior College, Veenavanka, in 2012.

In 2015 Harish acquired his Graduation (Degree) from Chanakya Degree College at Jammikunta.

A Career in JVV:

In 2012, Harish was elected as the joint Karimnagar District President of JVV (JANA VIGNANA VEDIKA – CHEKUMUKI SCIENCE) and continued till 2014.

Jana Vignana Vedika aims at better civil society. It helps students to conduct talent tests and groom them.

A Career in SFI:

Harish joined the Student Federation of India (SFI) in 2014 while still in college. He was active in the party and solved the problems of the students.

After that, Harish was elected as the SFI Division President of Huzurabad in 2014.

In 2015, he was elected as the SFI District President of Karimnagar. He continued in his duties till 2021.

This young leader achieved perfection by seeing the students’ problems firsthand and understanding their situations.

Activities are done by Harish in SFI:

• He fought on behalf of the party that the government should release the job notification immediately.
• As a leader of SFI, he participated in the state-wide agitation against the low allocation of funds to the education sector in the state budget.
• The dharna demanded immediate release of the pending stipends and teachers’ fees.
• They protested to solve the problems of the students from the educational institutions which were closed due to Corona.
• They protested to release of the job calendar.
• He organized the SFI Inauguration Day programs.
• They besieged the Education Minister’s office and staged a dharna demanding that the students’ problems be resolved.
• As SFI state president, he provided educational materials like uniforms, notebooks, pens, etc., to the students studying in government schools.
• The Students’ Federation of India has called for nationwide protests demanding the distribution of free bus passes to students of all sections. Harish from Karimnagar district, along with his party members, participated as SFI leader.
• He participated in all SFI party activities like dharnas, protests, and rallies.

A Career in Politics:

From childhood, Harish used to learn about people, meet them and understand their situations.

He used to help poor people while studying. Thus he chose politics to connect with the people and lead them forward. He entered politics in 2011 through the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRSV) party.

Appani Harish Varma, who entered politics through the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Party under the inspiration of Siddipet Constituency MLA Thaneeru Harish Rao, started public service.

A Career in TRSV:

In 2011 he was selected as Veenavanka Mandal TRSV President. He served his duties till 2012.

He was elected as TRSV State Committee Member in 2021 and served till 2022.

After the formation of the BRS party from TRS:

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), formerly known as Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), is an Indian political party active primarily in the state of Telangana. It was established by Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao on 5th October 2022 from Telangana Rashtra Samiti as Bharat Rashtra Samiti.

After the formation of the BRS party, he was selected as the State Committee Member of the BRSV party in 2023 and is currently serving in Veenavanka Mandal of Karimnagar District.

A Career in THR Society:

In 2022, Harish established a system called THR (Thaneeru Harish Rao) Society and started doing public service through it.

He is currently the Founder and State President of the THR Society Team.

Party and Welfare Activities:

• He, along with his party members, submitted a petition to Health Minister Harish Rao to sanction a government medical college in the Karimnagar district.
• Harish organized medical camps in the surrounding areas of Karimnagar district to mark the birthday celebrations of senior party leaders.
• Harish participated in the Jagitya public meeting organized on behalf of the party and took the lead in every task.
• Harish fought for those who lost their land and crops due to check dam overflow. He continued his fight unceasingly until Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka came and learned about their problem.
• He is working on getting more people into the party by organizing awareness programs about the party in the village.
• He brings awareness to the youth and guides them in every work.
• He celebrated the birth anniversary of freedom fighters in his mandal.
• Harish participated in the Kanti Velam program organized by the Telangana State Government and conducted eye examinations for the people while creating awareness.
• As part of the campaign, he informed about the right to vote by handing out party pamphlets from house to house.
• He assisted the elderly, widows, and disabled in receiving pensions from the government.
• He participated in the founding meeting of the BRS party held at Khammam along with party leaders, members, and workers.
• They protested that the work of the Government Junior College in Jammikunta town was being delayed and demanded that it be completed immediately.
• He appealed to the government to provide basic facilities to the students in the government educational institutions in the mandal center.
• Harish, along with SFI members, called for the government to immediately cancel the recognition of Narayana College, which was causing student suicides and burnt an effigy of the college management.
• He demanded that action should be taken against the owners who are ignoring the government orders and causing trouble to the farmers in many villages of Veenavanka mandal.
• He expressed his love for his favorite leader Harish Rao by writing on Bathukamma.

Social Activities:

• In the 9 acres of land attached to Harish Gram Panchayat, 3 acres of coconut saplings have been planted.
• He organized a greening program in the surrounding areas of the village and planted more plants with the students.
• He stood by the poor and supported their welfare development. He always takes the initiative to serve the poor.
• Encouraging the youth, he organized a cricket tournament in Jammikunta and provided them with a cricket kit.
• He provided his financial support to the poor people in the village and also donated a certain amount to the merit students for their higher education.
• He demanded that the government issue notifications quickly and protect the unemployed from suicide.
• He provided free jersey kits to the volleyball players.
• He provided rice, goods, blankets, fruits, vegetables, medicines, and books for those in the orphanage.
• He helped the migrants by providing them with essential items.
• He Distributed Books, Exam Pads, and stationery to High School Students and motivated them to score high marks.
• He carries out his responsibilities while looking after the welfare of the people living in the village and zone by clearing the issues related to Water, drainage, and every minute problem to the individual.

Harish’s Effort during the Pandemic: 

• Harish acted humanely during the crisis, assisting individuals in distress and providing additional assistance to those afflicted by the lockdown.
• He distributed food and rice bags to the migrants and contributed financially. He donates rice bags, vegetables, and medicine to covid victims who are suffering from covid and cannot go out to fetch food.
• During the crisis, he responded generously, aiding those in need and giving special support to those impacted by the lockdown.
• He offered masks, sanitizers, and meals to the underprivileged, as well as financial assistance.
• Provided the Annadhanam program to the Police, Municipal, and front-line workers who served a lot during the corona crisis. Conducted awareness programs on the maintenance of Physical distance and following precautionary measures to prevent the epidemic in Corona.
• For the public’s protection, sodium hypochlorite solution was sprayed all around the village as part of the effort to eliminate the corona outbreak.
• He distributed vegetables and fruits to the village people and needy people.
• In response to Prime Minister Modi’s call, he organized a Covid Vaccination Drive to raise awareness among the general public about the need to receive a free corona vaccination.
• During the pandemic, A door to door survey was organized and raise awareness about the virus covid and provided precautions to be followed.
