Amuluru Prudhvi Raj

Amuluru Prudhvi Raj is an Indian Politician and current AITUC Town Council Member of Madanapalle, Chittoor district. Prudhvi has established himself among the people despite being among them for 15 years and contributing desperately.

Born and Education:

On 27th September 1989, Prudhvi was born to the couple Manjunath and Kavitha in Madanapalle.

He completed his 7th standard at Bapuji high school, located at Madanapalle.

Prior to taking an active role in AITUC Prudhvi Raj worked in the Madanapalle Municipal Office in 1999.

A career in All India Trade Union Congress(AITUC):

He has been associated with the All India Trade Union Congress(AITUC) since 2019.

The All India Trade Union Congress(AITUC) is the oldest trade union federation in India. It is associated with the Communist Party of India. According to provisional statistics from the Ministry of Labour, AITUC had a membership of 14.2 million in 2013. It was founded on 31 October 1920 with Lala Lajpat Rai as its first president.

Prudhvi Raj was crucial to the AITUC. He took action to protest the discriminatory practices of municipal workers. He struggled a great deal with their problems. He was selected as an Active Member by the authorities as they recognized his capacity to assist the populace at any moment in any manner feasible as a Social Worker and Party Worker.

From 2006 until 2020, Prudhvi Raj served as the Convener of the Municipal Workers Union. He effectively completes his responsibilities by accomplishing his responsibilities.

He becomes AITUC Town Council Member of Madanapalle, Chittoor district in 2019 and currently working in the position.

He made himself always available for the people of Madanapalle to solve their needs irrespective of time. The residents of Madanapalle considered his regime to be the Leadership of the people.

Prudhvi Raj was given the responsibility as Vice President of the Madanapalle Municipal Workers Union in 2020.

Prudhvi Raj, who started his political career as an Activist, faced many setbacks, faced everything for the welfare of the people, and moved forward. He served the mission of public development.

Prudhvi’s struggle over Municipal, contract workers issues:

• Madanapalle Municipal Workers Union Vice President Prudhvi Raj admired the CPI and AITUC leaders who observed a 10-minute silence for the 30 farmers who died during the initiation of millions of farmers in the national capital demanding the repeal of the anti-agricultural black laws, and by lighting torches near the Ambedkar statue in Madanapalle, Chittoor district for 2 days in support of them.
• Sanitation workers working in Madanapalle municipality have been repeatedly given a memorandum to the Municipal Commissioner demanding masks, blouses, and sanitizers. But the municipal authorities did not care, so the leaders of the left-wing CPI, AITUC, and CPM staged a protest in front of the municipal office. Workers Union President Warri Suresh Kumar, Secretary Nagraj, Vice President Prudhvi raj, and others were present on the occasion.
• Madanapalle Municipal Workers Union President V. Suresh Kumar, Vice President A. Prudhvi Raj, Secretary S.Nagaraj, and committee members went on a Relay Hunger Strike for Madanapalle District Sadhana.
• Madanapalle Municipal Outsourcing Workers were organized by Dr.BR.Ambedkar 129th Jayanti celebrations on behalf of the Permanent Workers Union(AITUC). Vice President Prudhvi Raj, Community Advisors S.Mastan, and committee members participated in the event and made the event a success. At the call of the State Municipal Workers Federation, workers staged a large-scale protest in front of all municipal offices, stating their demands.
  Demands:-
  -Health Allowance of Rs.6000/- given by the Central Government should be paid immediately
  -Workers must be provided with job security
  -Pending arrears should be paid immediately
• Madanapalle Municipal Labor Contract workers went on a rally and carried out massacres as the state-wide indefinite strike on the issues of Madanapalle Municipal Sanitation workers reached its second day. On behalf of the Municipal Labor Contract Workers Union, Prudhvi Raj thanked the AITUC, CITU, and CPI leaders for their support of the program.

Social Service:

-Prudhvi served even as a Social Activist in Madanapalle village. He gave his helping hand in his unique ways.

-In order to seek an increase in the wages of municipal and contract employees, Prudhvi Raj and AITUC leaders organized massive dharnas and demonstrations.

-Every year on the occasion of Mother Teresa’s birth anniversary, Prudhvi organizes Annadanam, a clothing distribution program at Chaitanya Balala Orphanage.

-Prudhvi Raj and AITUC officials asked that the village’s roads be rehabilitated and that there be no water or power outages.

-Organized the blood camp and medical camp in the village and donated the blood for the needy people.

-Prudhvi financially assisted the poor people in the village and also helped them in all possible ways when needed.

-He stood up for the poor and ensured the development of welfare. He always raises his hands to serve the poor.

-He conducted Village development activities in the village like laying CC Roads, Digging Borewells, Putting up Street Lights, Clearance Drainage systems, and Solving water Problems.

-Prudhvi and party leaders have demanded that the government reduce petrol and diesel prices.

Prudhvi’s Effort during the Pandemic: 

• Prudhvi acted humanely during the crisis, assisting individuals in distress and providing additional assistance to those afflicted by the lockdown.
• During the crisis, he responded generously, aiding those in need and giving special support to those impacted by the lockdown.
• He offered masks, sanitizers, and meals to the underprivileged, as well as financial assistance.
• For the public’s protection, sodium hypochlorite solution was sprayed all around the village as part of the effort to eliminate the corona outbreak.
• In response to Prime Minister Modi’s call, he organized a Covid Vaccination Drive to raise awareness among the general public about the need of receiving a free corona vaccination.
• During the pandemic, A door to door survey was organized and raised awareness about the virus covid and provided precautions to be followed.
