Akarapu Arun Kumar

Akarapu Arun Kumar is an Indian politician from the Southern Indian state of Telangana. He serves as the Uppal Assembly Youth Congress President of Medchal-Malkajgiri District from the Indian National Congress Party.

Early Life:-

On the 20th of July 1993, Arun Kumar was born to the couple Mr Akarapu Satyanarayana and Mrs Akarapu Uma and resided at Ramanthapur in Hyderabad District in the Indian State of Telangana.

He studied at the Board Secondary School Education in Ananda Jyothi High School, located at Srinivasapuram, in 2009 after he completed his Intermediate in Sri Chaitanya Junior College, Ramanthapur, in 2011.

In 2015 Arun Kumar acquired his Graduation (B-Tech) at Holy Mary Institute of Technology & Science at Kondapur.

A Career in NSUI:

While pursuing his education, Arun Kumar wanted to know about the students’ problems and the people’s issues and stand with them, and he would provide adequate help for them.

With that determination, he joined NSUI (National Students Union of India) as a leader in 2010.

The National Students Union of India, the student wing of the Indian National Congress, was established on 9 April 1971. The organization was founded by Indira Gandhi after merging the Kerala Students Union and the West Bengal State Chhatra Parishad to form a national student organization.

After joining NSUI, Arun Kumar expressed his ideology, and he focused on Indian nationalism and secularism centred on social democracy.

As an NSUI Leader Arun Kumar motivated the students to work towards their goals.

In 2010 Arun Kumar was elected as an NSUI College President.

After he was elected As an NSUI College President his main objective was to groom students as responsible citizens and leaders by inculcating in them the values of democracy, secularism, freedom, quality and equality.

NSUI Activities done by Arun Kumar:

• They protested to develop a national education system and reduce university and school fees.
• Actively participated in the Multiple Citizenship Amendment Act protests.
• He Protests against the privatization of schools and colleges in the state.
• Arun Kumar and party members worked together on behalf of the National Students Union of India to develop the next generation of leaders and protect the rights of the student body.
• As a part of NSUI, efforts have been made to inculcate a sense of nationalism among the youth and make them aware citizens.
• Worked to enrol child labourers in school and provide them with equal opportunities to learn.
• He removed the difficulties faced by the poor in relation to education and helped to make people aware of the importance of education.

A Career in Politics:

Arun Kumar, while doing his best as the President of NSUI College, he entered politics through the INC (Indian National Congress).

Arun Kumar was elected as “Habsiguda Division President” in September 2015 through the election process conducted by the Indian Youth Congress as a result of his service to the party and to the people.

As the Division President, he organised training programs among the people of his constituency on ethics, safety and service and made them aware of the procedures. He would provide them with the necessary facilities.

After that, in 2015, he was selected as a Munnurukapu Yuvakamandali State Secretary.

After that, in the elections held in 2020, he contested on behalf of the Youth Congress Party and won as the General Secretary of the Malkajigiri Parliament.

Arun Kumar, after assuming his duties as the General Secretary of the Malkajgiri Parliament, took up and completed every task for the party and the people as his responsibility.

In 2020 Arun Kumar took on additional responsibility in Medchal Constituency In-Charge.

His special work for the growth of the party and people, his perseverance, hard work, goodness, service quality, and affection have been a reason for the development of Arun Kumar.

While serving as General Secretary of Malkajgiri Parliament and in charge of Medchal Constituency, he also took charge as in-charge of Peerjadiguda Municipality in 2020, Youth Congress Party.

In 2020 he worked as a Choutuppal, Lingottam Villages Ward Incharge in Munugodu elections.

Arun Kumar earned the people’s admiration by holding out the commitments, obligations, and powers assigned to him. He has served many people through his kind heart by carrying out the tasks assigned to him and earning the people’s responses.

In 2022 also he worked as a Munugodu Elections Incharge.

He contested for the Uppal Assembly Youth Congress President.

Some of the goals chosen by Arun Kumar:

• To provide equal opportunities to all and sensitise the underprivileged.
• By enrolling the helpless students in school and making education the goal for them, by providing them with employment through education and training them.
• Leading the youth.
• Empowering and providing employment to women.
• Special training is imparted to girls studying in schools and colleges to make them strong.
• To remove the problems faced by farmers in the country and bring them an identity.

Party and Welfare Activities are done by Arun Kumar:

• Actively participated in dharna against TRS government for full loan waiver for farmers. (As promised in the TRS party’s election manifesto) RR submitted a memorandum to the District Collector to waive off farmers’ loans, stop farmers’ suicides, and increase the stipend from 3 lakhs to 15 lakhs for farmer families and committed suicide.
• He conducted various programs prescribed by PCC, IYC and INC.
• Arun Kumar led the way for the Congress party to secure the highest number of votes in the 2009 GHMC elections and the 2014 general elections.
• In the 2019 MP elections, Malkajigiri campaigned for Parliament and helped Mr Revanth Reddy to win.
• He helped provide scholarships to poor students and pensions to the elderly, widows, and disabled people.
• He protested against the BJP government over the implementation of CAA, NPR and NRC.
• Arun Kumar organised many youth groups to strengthen the Congress party from the macro level and organized awareness programs for them and included them in the Congress National Party.
• He actively participated in many social awareness programs on behalf of the party.
• During the general election season, he campaigned as the party’s full-time leader, tirelessly assisting the incumbent and recruiting more members to ensure the party’s success.
• Funds were collected for the victims who were facing problems due to natural calamities and provided adequate assistance to them.
• On the occasion of the Independence Martyrs’ Jubilee, Youth Congress Party organised blood donation camps and donated blood.
• In connection with the upcoming Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections, Youth Congress meetings were held in each assembly of the Malkajigiri Parliament segment.
• He campaigned on behalf of the Congress party in the elections held in Dubbaka in 2020 and led the party forward.

Activities are done by Bharat Jodo Yatra:

• The aim of this Yatra is to unite India, to come together and strengthen our nation. The Yatra began on 7th September from Kanyakumari and will pass through 12 states, culminating in Jammu and Kashmir – spanning a distance of nearly 3,500 Km over the course of about 150 days.
• Arun Kumar joined this movement along with Congress leaders and millions of people to raise their voices against the economic, social and political issues that divide our country today.
• Through this, Yatra seeks to address rampant unemployment & inflation, politics of hatred and division and over-centralization of our political system.
• Arun Kumar organised and promoted various online campaigns to take the Yatra message to every Indian, and he, along with his leaders, actively participated in the Yatra to educate the youth and lead the Yatra forward.

Dharnas and Protests:

• Arun Kumar participated in every rally and initiation held on behalf of the Youth Congress Party.
• They protested against the government over unemployment issues.
• He organised farmers’ strikes on behalf of the party and fought for their problems.
• Fought about fee reimbursement and scholarships for colleges and schools.
• They staged a dharna along with the party leaders, demanding immediate action against the government officials who are not paying attention to the people who are suffering due to the encroachment of the vacant places.
• Arun Kumar participated in the bike rally organised on behalf of the party.
• They protested to exempt the poor families who are struggling with work or from the electricity bills during the difficult time of Corona.
• They protested against the central government, demanding a reduction in the rising prices of gas, petrol and Diesel.

Social and Development Activities:

• Under the guidance of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, as well as Revanth Reddy and senior party leaders, Arun Kumar is devoting himself to the service of his country and people.
• He has made it his mission to promote and protect national unity and integrity without distinction of caste, religion, regionalism or status and helps the poor and helpless people.
• Cultural shows and festivals (Vinayaka Chavithi, Bonals, Pujas) are also organised to create awareness among people about cultural traditions.
• He engages in a variety of activities aimed at helping the needy and alleviating some pressing social and educational problems.
• In times of emergency, people have helped by setting up public toilets without facing any trouble, removing sewage to prevent mosquitoes from entering the places around us, removing unnecessary grass and making it clean.
• Arun Kumar has taken the lead in organising health education programs, blood donation, adult education classes, opening schools and planting saplings along with party leaders.
• Arun Kumar would provide necessities like rice and pulses to the family if any poor people in his village died.
• He helps educate Dalit women about their development and encourages them to avail government schemes by employing disadvantaged women.
• They organised awareness programs among the people to protect the environment by using clay Ganapati idols and presented clay Ganapati idols to them.
• Arun Kumar, along with party members, paid tributes to late Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy on the occasion of his birth anniversary and organised an annadana program.

Services Provided During Pandemic:

• Arun Kumar has helped a lot of people who are struggling during the difficult times of Corona.
• He provided financial and humanitarian support to those affected by the lockdown during the first and second waves of Corona. In times of crisis, and responded with compassion, helping people in distress and providing more help to those affected by the lockdown.
• Arun Kumar assisted people affected by the lockdown by giving vegetables and fruits to villages, the homeless, and Municipality employees while following the procedures in place and distributing Covid Kits who were afflicted with the appropriate sickness while in their home quartine.
• An awareness demonstration was performed to raise awareness about social distancing and the need to take precautionary steps to eliminate the Corona Epidemic.
• When the coronavirus was finally exterminated, sodium hypochlorite solution was sprayed across the whole village to ensure that the villagers were not exposed to any harmful effects.
• The Covid Immunization Drive was organised in response to Prime Minister Modi’s plea to increase awareness among the general population about the need to acquire a free corona vaccination.
