Adam Santhosh Kumar was born on June 28, 1968, in Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Telangana. He was the second child of his parents, Smt. Lalitha Bai and Sri. Adam Shanker Rao. His father was a dedicated government servant employed by the Indian Railways and a prominent leader within the Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC). The family belonged to the Munnuru Kapu caste, one of the largest “Backward Communities” in the region. Santhosh Kumar’s upbringing was deeply influenced by his father’s active involvement in supporting the welfare of railway employees. Adam Santhosh Kumar completed his education with a degree in Commerce. 

In his personal life, he is a married man, and his wife’s name is Mrs. Adam Uma Devi Santhosh Kumar. Together, they have two children, a daughter named Adam Simran, who is a doctor, and a son named Adam Srujan Kumar, who is an architect. Notably, his son, Adam Srujan Kumar, holds the position of NSUI (National Students’ Union of India) Vice-President, showcasing the family’s commitment to education and youth engagement.

He also led a delegation of 15 members to the Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad to protest against the encouragement of terrorism by Pakistan. The NSUI, under his leadership, submitted a memorandum to the Honorable Governor, raising concerns about these critical matters.

In 1987, Adam Santhosh Kumar’s journey in student politics took a powerful turn when he was nominated as the Joint Secretary of NSUI in Andhra Pradesh, under the leadership of Sri. P.
