ABVP Nagaraju Pottipaka

Pottipaka Nagaraju popularly known as ABVP Nagaraju is an Indian politician currently serving as the ABVP State Joint Secretary from Telangana. He is a prominent ABVP leader with plenty of experience in the political field. Nagaraju was born to the couple Iddaiah and Janamma on 13th June 1994 in Ragadapa village.

Education Background:

In 2010, Nagaraju completed his schooling at ZP high school, located at Miryalaguda. He earned Intermediate from Govt junior college in 2012. In 2017, Nagaraju attained his Graduation with a B.Tech(EEE) from Mahatma Gandhi University, resided at Nalgonda. Nagaraju currently pursuing an MBA from the University of Commerce and Business Management.

Political Career:

Nagaraju has been associated with the ABVP since 2008. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad(ABVP) is a right-wing all-India student organization affiliated to the Hindu nationalist Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh(RSS). It is India’s second-largest student organization after the National Students’ Union of India with more than three million members.

In recognition of his incredible services in the ABVP Nagaraju was selected as University Hostel President from Nalgonda. He was promoted as University College President and held the position from 2015-to 2016.

His contribution to the ABVP impressed senior political leaders. As a result of this, he was eventually appointed the Sandipana Magzine District Incharge from Nalgonda. Nagaraju was appointed Study Circle District Incharge by the ABVP officials in the belief that the ABVP will administer justice to the students under his supervision.

Nagaraju’s contributions to the ABVP were immeasurable. He put a lot of effort into the student’s welfare. He staged a large-scale Dharna for the immediate release of fee reimbursement, Scholarships, mess bills, minimum facilities for the hostel students he even made movements, rasta rokos over these issues.

Nagaraju demanded that the Fees Control Act be enforced. He held rallies and dharnas for the unemployed demanding release of job notifications. He has undertaken a number of initiatives to cultivate creativity and skills. He went on Hunger Strikes and Dharnas to solve the problems of university and hostel students. Conducted awareness programs stating that the role of students is of utmost importance in the development of the country.

When Nagaraju was fighting over student issues, the government illegally filed cases and sent him to jail. He encouraged the youth to move forward by taking  Swami Vivekananda and Ambedkar as Inspiration.

Activities carriedout by Nagaraju as a ABVP Activist:

• Police have illegally arrested ABVP State Convener Nagaraju, who was staging a massive protest rally with unemployed students on the issue of unemployment and demanding the release of notifications of 1.91 lakh vacancies in the state.
• A begging program was organized at the local Clock Tower Center under the auspices of the Nalgonda branch of the All India Student Council (ABVP). ABVP activists have organized an innovative begging program in Nalgonda city demanding the immediate release of pending scholarship and fee reimbursement as well as job notification as the KCR government has been harassing students.
• ABVP State Convener Nagaraju has met Telangana State Governor Tamilasai Soundarajan and was briefed on the problems of the university, seeking solutions to the problems at Mahatma Gandhi University and taking action against corrupt miscreants.
• ABVP Student Shakti District In-Charge Nagaraju handed over a Petition to the District Education Officer to stop the extortion of fees in private and corporate schools and to address the problems of teachers or troubled public schools.
• ABVP State Joint Secretary Nagaraju said the effigy of the state government was burnt in support of intermediate students in the Nalgonda district center. He demanded that the state government take moral responsibility for student suicides in the state due to technical errors in the intermediate test results and correct the technical flaws in the results and allow free revolutions to the students. Nagraj lamented that the illegal arrest of ABVP activists who were burning the effigy of the state government was atrocious.
• ABVP State Joint Secretary Nagraj said the land at KPM Government Junior College in Nalgonda district center should not be used for other activities. The agitation was conducted under the auspices of ABVP at the college. On this occasion, Nagraj said that many poor students were warned to be tolerant if the authorities and local public representatives tried to seize the temple which was a temple in the name of other development programs.

Service During the Pandemic Covid-19:

-Nagaraju rendered his service to the Ragadapa people even during the corona which terrorized the whole country.

-He distributed food and rice bags to the migrants and also contributed to them financially.

-He donates rice bags, vegetables, and medicine to covid victims who are suffering from covid and cannot go out to fetch food.

-He also supported the poor financially by providing essential goods for those who could not find employment or food due to the lockdown.

-Provided annadhanam program to the Police, Municipal, front-line workers who served a lot during the corona crisis.

-Conducted awareness programs on the maintenance of Physical distance and following precautionary measures to prevent the epidemic in Corona.

-Nagaraju put effort even during the Covid second wave.

-He distributed vegetables and fruits to the village people and needy people.

-Awareness camps and seminars were organized on the Covid-19 vaccine and about the effects of the virus.

-Organized awareness programs on precautions to be taken to prevent covid and said no need to panic.

-The area infected with the coronavirus has been declared a red zone and people have been given proper precautions and instructions.
