Mahender Velpugonda

Mahender Velpugondu is a Social Activist and an Indian Politician of the BSP and the Senior Leader of Karkapalle in Ghanpur(Mulugu) of Warangal and TMSS State General Secretary of Telangana.

Early Life and Education:

On February 14th, 1983, Mahender Velpugonda was born to the couple of Mr. Velpugonda Sammaya and Mrs. Velpugonda Gamma. He was raised in the Karkapalle village of Ghanpur(Mulugu) in Warangal in the State of Telangana.

In 1998, Mahender completed his Board of Secondary Education from Zilla Parishad High School located at Parkal in Warangal, Telangana.

Career in Politics:

Mahender cared about and helped people in need with all of his heart and soul for the rest of his life. As a youth, he provided his skills to the public willingly. His genuine desire to serve others and his deep interest in politics drove him to enter politics.

The Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) is a National Level political party in India that was formed to represent Bahujans,referring to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes(OBC), along with religious minorities. The party claims to be inspired by the philosophy of Gautama Buddha, BR. Ambedkar, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, Narayana Guru, Periyar EV. Ramasamy, and Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj.

Mahender formally joined politics in 2018 as a Party Activist of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). He was known as an important leader because he helped make his work as a leader successful.

Because of his significant presence in the Party, BSP leaders gave him the position of District President of Warangal from 2019 to 2022 with the hope that he would continue his efforts. Mahender said, when he was named District President, that he would do everything in his power to help the BSP party do well and that he would make decisions with the party’s well-being in mind. He thanked the party authorities heartily for choosing him as District President.

Mahender’s dedication and hard work got him the position of Senior Leader of Karkapalle from the BSP in 2022. Since then, he has worked for the people, thought about their welfare, and won a lot of praise from the public.

Career in Social Life:

In the year 2014, Mahender joined the TMSS( Telangana Madiga Sankshema Sangam )and started his service to the people as a Member by sorting out the issues with the assistance of the Organisation.

As soon as he joined the group in 2016, the TMSS gave him the highly sought-after position of District Youth Leader, showing a lot of faith in his skills. Mahender was feverishly doing the duties that had been given to him.

Mahender was appointed as the State Youth Organization of Telangana in 2018, and he has served the greater good of society by carrying out his responsibilities appropriately and in accordance with the guidelines.

He gave some kind of encouragement with a strong desire to serve the people as the State Youth President in 2019, and since then he has been doing a good job and fighting hard for the good of society. 

Mahender was chosen by TMSS to be the State General Secretary of Telangana in 2022 so that he could serve the people in every way by working hard for the good of everyone, citing problems with the code of conduct and discipline to this day.

Party Activities:

• He altered the hostel surroundings for students and raised the hostel environment by providing proper infrastructure facilities.
• As soon as it came to his notice that there were no proper facilities in the college or the college, new furniture was arranged.
• Mahender mainly focused on issues related to students like fee reimbursement and scholarships and worked hard to ensure that scholarships were granted to students immediately.
• Mahender laid a big platform for the bright future of the students by organizing an awareness seminar to inform them about the importance of education in college.
• Mahender is actively involved in the programs organized by the BSP. He conveyed and explained to the people the greatness of the party all over the constituency.
• Mahender also carries forward organizing BSP Cader camps and holding meetings to discuss the functions and performance of the BSP. If anyone in the village encounters any problem, Mahesh will be at the forefront of the problem.

Social Activities:

• In case of any problems with the land of the SC, ST, or BC people, he remained the advocate he had acquired in his professional career and argued cases and handed over the lands to them.
• Many service activities, such as blankets for beggars, clothing for the destitute, and meals for orphaned children, were planned during the event.
• Mahender cared most about things that had to do with students, like paying back fees and giving scholarships. He worked hard to make sure that scholarships were given to students as soon as possible.
• He helped the fire victims in the villages, who had been hurt by the fires themselves, by giving them money and other help.
• Mahender has performed many social activities in the village, such as providing food to the elderly and orphan children, and mineral water to the villagers.

Pandemic Services:

• Mahender came forward to help the needy who have been affected by the lockdown and distributed vegetables and fruits to the villagers, needy ones, and municipality workers by following the precautions.
• He apportioned Masks, Sanitizers, and food to the poor and also contributed to them financially.
• To stop the Corona Epidemic, there has been an awareness program to teach people about social distance and how to take precautions.
• In order to keep the village safe, sodium hypochlorite solution was sprayed all over the village as part of the effort to end the corona epidemic.
• Mahender also gave people with signs of coronavirus deficiency free masks and hand sanitizers at the hospital.
