I, Shri Chirige Srinivas, a dedicated public servant and the esteemed Assembly Convenor of Alair, born on May 15, 1974, to Shri Chirige Balaiah and Smt. Vijaya is in the culturally rich town of Alair, Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri. My journey began in this vibrant community, where the values instilled by my family shaped my commitment to leadership and service, laying the groundwork for my political career. I joined the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in 1989, rising through roles such as President of the Student Organization and later Division Secretary and State Executive Member, where I honed my skills in advocating for youth and education.

In 2002, I embraced the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) under the guidance of revered leaders, marking the start of my political odyssey, which saw me serve as Secretary from 2002 to 2019 and play a pivotal role in the Telangana Movement. My passion for Telangana’s statehood, demonstrated through participation in the Million March, Bike Rallies, and Dharnas, reflects my unwavering dedication to regional identity and autonomy from 2009 to 2014. This resolve continued as I advanced to District Secretary of Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri and Councillor of Alair in 2019, and since 2025, as Alair Assembly Convenor, I have focused on uplifting my constituents.

My early involvement in the Telangana Sashya Shamala Yatra from Basara to Srisailam in 1996 deepened my connection to our cultural heritage and community spirit. Today, I stand committed to enhancing the welfare of society, drawing strength from my educational foundation—SSC from ZP High School in 1990, Intermediate from Alair Government Junior College in 1994, and Degree from Alair Government Degree College in 1998. Early Life and Origins of Shri Chirige Srinivas

Chirige Srinivas, serving as the Assembly Convenor of Alair, was born on May 15, 1974, to Shri Chirige Balaiah and Smt. Vijaya in the vibrant town of Alair, Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri. His upbringing in this community laid the foundation for his future leadership, shaped by the values and support of his family in a region rich with cultural heritage.

Educational Journey of Shri Chirige Srinivas

Srinivas embarked on his academic path by completing his Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in 1990 at ZP High School, marking the beginning of his scholarly pursuits with distinction. He further advanced his education by earning his Intermediate qualification in 1994 from Alair Government Junior College, demonstrating a strong commitment to learning. In 1998, he culminated his formal education with a Degree from Alair Government Degree College, reflecting his dedication to academic excellence and personal growth.

Initial Involvement with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)

Following the completion of his education, Chirige Srinivas aligned himself with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a significant step in his early career. Upon joining, he underwent the Prathmik Shiksha Varg, a foundational training camp designed to enhance his physical discipline and ideological understanding. In his capacity, he organized and led RSS camps across various villages, fostering community engagement and promoting the organization’s values.

Entry into Student Leadership with Akhila Bharatha Vidhaya Parishat (ABVP) -(1989)

In 1989, Chirige Srinivas became a member of the Akhila Bharatha Vidhaya Parishad (ABVP), a renowned student organization. This significant step initiated his impactful leadership voyage, laying the foundation for his future contributions. His association with ABVP marked the start of a dedicated path in student advocacy and community influence.

President of the Student Organization (1992-95)
He rose to the role of President of the Student Organization in Alair from 1992 to 1995, where he championed student rights and fostered educational initiatives with dedication. This position allowed him to shape the youth movement and build a strong foundation for his future political endeavors.

Role as Mandal Convenor for Student Organization (1996-97)
Srinivas served as the Mandal Convenor for the Student Organization in Alair from 1996 to 1997, a role that involved coordinating student activities and representing their interests at the local level. In this capacity, he worked tirelessly to address educational challenges and promote unity among students across the region. His leadership during this period highlighted his ability to manage and inspire young minds effectively.

Appointment as Division Secretary of Bhongir by ABVP (1997)
In 1997, Chirige Srinivas was elected as the Division Secretary of Bhongir by the Akhila Bharatha Vidhaya Parishat (ABVP), a distinguished role that charged him with managing student matters across an expanded region. Advancement to State Executive Member of ABVP (1997)

Joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) (2002)

Appointment as Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) (2002-19)

Elevation to District Secretary of Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri (2019)
In 2019, Chirige Srinivas was promoted to the position of District Secretary of Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), a role that entrusted him with supervising party initiatives and collaborating with regional leaders across the district. Role as Councillor of Alair (2019)
Srinivas held the Position of Councillor of Alair, where he advocated for community needs and played a key part in shaping local administration. Alair Assembly Convenor (Since 2025)

Championing Telangana Statehood: Shri Chirige Srinivas’s Dedication

Chirige Srinivas emerged as a passionate proponent of Telangana’s statehood between 2009 and 2014, leaving an indelible mark on the Telangana Movement through his steadfast devotion. His determined efforts were centered on achieving the acknowledgment of Telangana as a sovereign entity, separate from Andhra Pradesh, underscoring his profound allegiance to regional autonomy.

Since his initial involvement, Chirige Srinivas has displayed an unshakable dedication to the public’s welfare, relentlessly striving to elevate both his political alliance and the wider society. His contributions are defined by a fervent quest for communal advancement, showcased through his enthusiastic engagement in various social endeavors. He boldly advanced the movement’s objectives by participating in prominent gatherings like the Million March, energetic Bike Rallies, and steadfast Dharnas, reflecting an unyielding determination to fulfill Telangana’s aspiration for statehood.

Major Participation in Party Activities-

1. • Under the guidance of State President Kishan Reddy, a declaration was issued in the Telangana State Parliament announcing a significant allocation for the state. In 2010, during the lathi charge at Jantar Mantar in Delhi amid the Sonia Gandhi house siege protest, Shri Chirige Srinivas collapsed and was rushed to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, where he received medical care for two days.
   • Chirige Srinivas paid tributes to the late Shri Gujjula Rajaiah, former Professor of Economics at Kakatiya University, on his first death anniversary.
   • Chirige Srinivas participated in the bike rally organized in Alair on the occasion of BMS Foundation Day.
   • As part of the Parliamentary Pravas Yojana and Vijaya Sankalpa Yatra, a meeting of Alair Assembly Booth Presidents and top leaders was held in Alair. State Secretary Bhuvanagiri Parliamentary Sri. Prabari Paparao, District President, Pasham Bhaskar, State Executive Members, Padala Srinivas, Chirige Srinivas, and others participated in the program.
   • In commemoration of the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, was held. Water cans were distributed to the people of the village through the P.V. Foundation.

   • A gathering of prominent leaders took place in Alair Constituency today under the MLA Pravas Yojana initiative. This event aimed to strengthen community engagement and discuss regional development priorities.

   • Sringeri Srinivas garu campaigned in Ramakrishna Puram village of Veenavanka mandal of Huzurabad constituency, urging people to vote for Shri. Etala Rajender.
   • Chirige Srinivas actively participated in the Telangana Sashya Shamala Yatra from Basara to Srisailam in 1996, an impactful journey that symbolized the confluence of two rivers and cultural unity. This endeavor showcased his commitment to regional identity and solidarity, engaging with communities to strengthen their collective spirit. His involvement reflected a deep-rooted passion for the cultural and social fabric of Telangana.
     
   • Srinivas participated in a bike rally organized by BJP state president and Union Minister Sri Kishan Reddy to officially celebrate Telangana Liberation Day on September 17 and to include the sacrifices of the martyrs who lost their lives in the anti-Nizam struggle in the curriculum.
   • At the call of the state BJP party, a Tiffin Box Meeting (Saddus Sampath) program was successfully organized in Yadagiri Gutta Mandal of Alair constituency under the chairmanship of Constituency Convener Chirige Srinivas.
   • The state party appointed Palak was headed by Honorable Former MLA of Parakala Muluguru Shri. Bikshapati, in-charge, BJP State Executive Member Sri Kallem Ravinder Reddy and State Vice President Sri Kasam Venkateswarlu, Sri Padala Srinivas, Sri Hari Shankar, and Chirige Srinivas participated in the virtual preparation meeting to be held in Alair.
   • Chirige Srinivas participated in the Mahadharna was held under the auspices of the BJP in front of the Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District Collector’s office, demanding that the promises made to farmers in Telangana state be implemented.
   • Sweaters were distributed to municipal workers at a program organized in Alair on the occasion of the 99th birth anniversary (Supari Ghalana Diwas) of Bharat Ratna Honorable Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. BJP leaders Padala Srinivas and Constituency Convener Chirige Srinivas participated in this program.
