I am Sravan Kumar, born on March 15, 1993, in the vibrant neighborhood of Mansoorabad, Hyderabad, Telangana, where I was nurtured in an environment that revered education, integrity, and a profound sense of social accountability. Under the loving guidance of my parents, Shri Eddaiah and Smt. Janamma, I imbibed the timeless values of perseverance and empathy, which have been the cornerstone of my journey as a dedicated public servant. My early life was shaped by a deep-rooted commitment to my community, a principle that has guided my path from my academic pursuits to my roles in politics and business.

In 2010, I commenced my educational voyage at Goutham High School in LB Nagar, where I built a strong foundation in core subjects and cultivated a disciplined approach to learning. This was followed by my intermediate studies at the esteemed Narayana Junior College, where I honed my analytical and problem-solving skills. I culminated my academic achievements with a B.Tech degree from Brilliant Engineering College in Inamguda, equipping me with specialized engineering knowledge and preparing me for a multifaceted career. Beyond academia, I have carved a successful niche as a businessman in Hyderabad, blending strategic vision with dedication to bolster the local economy, a testament to my ability to harmonize public service with entrepreneurial leadership.

My political odyssey began in 2012 when I joined the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), the student wing of the Indian National Congress (INC), founded by the visionary Smt. Indira Gandhi, on April 9, 1971, to empower youth and nurture democratic values. Inspired by the belief that politicians can eradicate corruption and foster a transparent society, I aligned with the INC under the mentorship of Shri Jakkidi Prabhakar Reddy, dedicating myself to social justice and national progress. My active role in the late 2000s Telangana Separate State Movement, including hunger strikes and rallies, reflects my unwavering commitment to statehood and community welfare, further demonstrated through my leadership in the 2021 TSRTC Strike and support for underprivileged villagers.

In 2019, I assumed the role of Mansoorabad Division Youth Congress President, earning promotion to SC, ST, BC Student Federation District President for Ranga Reddy due to my zealous service. My elevation to Rangareddy District Congress SC Cell Working Chairman and State Vice Chairman of the Telangana Congress SC Department underscores the trust bestowed upon me by the party. I have tirelessly advocated for students’ rights, addressed educational misconduct, and supported sanitation workers and the needy, especially during the lockdown, distributing essentials to alleviate hardship.

Indira Gandhi aimed to empower youth and foster democratic values across India. As a dedicated member, he tirelessly advocated for students’ rights, championing causes such as the prompt issuance of job notifications, seamless fee reimbursements, equitable scholarship distribution, and the enhancement of college infrastructure, thereby addressing critical educational concerns in Hyderabad, Telangana.

Deeply convinced that politicians hold the key to eradicating corruption, bribery, and various illicit practices, thereby paving the way for a transparent and corruption-free nation, Sravan Kumar was motivated to enter the political arena with a resolute sense of purpose. In 2012, under the inspiring mentorship of Shri. Jakkidi Prabhakar Reddy, a respected figure within the INC, formally launched his political career with the Indian National Congress, aligning himself with its ideals of social justice and national progress, setting the stage for his impactful contributions to society.

Involvement in the Telangana Movement as a Telangana Activist

In 2025, reflecting on his contributions, Sravan Kumar emerged as a committed participant during the late 2000s Telangana Separate State Movement, guided by the visionary leadership of the ex-chief minister, Shri K. Chandrashekar Rao, in Hyderabad, Telangana. He actively engaged in a range of demonstrations, including hunger strikes, rallies, protest programs, the iconic Million March, Chalo Hyderabad campaigns, Vanta-Varpu initiatives, and dynamic bike rallies, showcasing his dedication to the cause of statehood.

Sravan Kumar played a significant role in the TSRTC Strike in 2021, demonstrating his solidarity with transport workers while also organizing blood donation camps and free medical initiatives to support the health needs of underprivileged villagers in Hyderabad, Telangana. His efforts reflected a deep commitment to community welfare and social justice during challenging times.

In 2019, Sravan Kumar was appointed and assumed the responsibilities of Mansoorabad Division Youth Congress President, diligently fulfilling his duties with dedication and zeal, which earned him recognition from party officials. His active engagement and exemplary leadership led to his promotion as the SC, ST, BC Student Federation District President for Ranga Reddy, a testament to his impactful contributions to student advocacy and community development.

Sravan Kumar, hailing from LB Nagar, has been elevated to the position of Rangareddy District Congress SC Cell Working Chairman, with TPCC SC Cell Chairman Shri Pritam Nagarigiri formally presenting the appointment letter at his residence in Hyderabad. During the occasion, Sravan Kumar expressed confidence in the Congress Party’s prospects, asserting that the party would secure victories in all constituencies during the upcoming Rangareddy elections, and pledged to bolster the party’s strength under the leadership of Shri Revanth Reddy.
