Bhushanrao Kocherla (KBR)

Bhushanrao Kocherla is serving as the Founder & President of Kocherla Mary Joseph Trust and a Public Servant.

EARLY LIFE

Naga Bhushan Garu (grandfather) was an Ex-Sarpanch from the Communist Party who worked tirelessly for the villagers, assisting anyone who sought him for help and providing the essential things that they require.

Mr. Joseph was born in the year 1957 and has grown with a passion to serve the needy by following in the footprints of his father.

Even though having a desire to serve the people, did not enter politics and stayed away from his village and Mandal. As per his Dad will in 1974, Joseph passed his matriculation course, then studied ITI in Guntur, next became a Home Guard in Hyderabad and was later selected as a CRPF Constable.

In the year 1984, Mr. Joseph married Mary Joseph, who resided in Duddepudi village in the Khammam district and graduated from St. Mary’s College, Hostel in Karimnagar with a Bi.pc group in 1979. 

Mr. Joseph with the ideology that he could not serve the people personally, came to Galivali village of Maripeda Mandal from Hyderabad with his wife Mary Joseph and children in 1989 and began a new life with a small private convent.

Bhushanrao was born as the youngest son to the couple Joseph and Mary Joseph in Abbaipalem on July 7, 1989.

In 2004, He acquired his Secondary Board of Education from Vivekananda High School located at Maripeda Bangla, and Intermediate from Dharmodhar Reddy College, RJRM Junior College in the year 2007.

Later in 2011, He enrolled in Bachelor’s Degree from the RJC Degree college at Khammam and Studied Post Graduation at Open Osmania University in a Distance.

Joseph by balancing family responsibilities, started his services in 1988 by establishing roughly 5-6 Dwakra women’s groups in and around Maripeda Mandal, providing work for a significant number of men in the Indo-German Watershed project.

He worked as a Social Mobilizer for a non-profit group called Pragati Seva Samithi, and his wife joined him in campaigning for women’s rights, prohibiting breweries, shutting night schools, and assisting tiny convents financially.

An unanticipated occurrence had shifted the family’s situation downward were Mr. Joseph had passed away in the year 2014, and In memory of his father, A Trust has founded by the Bhushanrao, named the Kocherla Mary Joseph Trust, a non-governmental organization aimed at assisting the homeless, poor, and needy living in a society.

Since the Trust’s inception, Bhushanrao, in his role as Founder, with the support of his Team, has been involved in a wide range of social activities by meeting the needs of everyone who has approached him for assistance.

It works intending to provide them with a dignified existence and to assist them to become self-sufficient. Since its establishment, the Foundation has provided opportunities for the underprivileged to earn a living and has mentored hundreds of people.

Bhushanrao as a Script Writer and Director came up with the idea of ​​making a film with an innovative story and started the workshop by teaming up with some people for 5 years. 

ACTIVITIES PERFORMED THROUGH THE TRUST:

>Students who pass the tenth grade in a public school and pass in the top class are encouraged by donating some amount.

>Dwakra women are being told to make loans to the communities from time to time.

>Those who appear to be orphans on the roads are placed in orphanages and old-age homes by the Bhushanrao.

>For the welfare of the people, He worked in the Gandhi hospital for 2-3 months without taking leave.

>Bhushanrao continues to provide services and assistance to the people even during his holiday.

>If anyone in the village encounters any problem, he will be at the forefront of the problem. He will assist those who come to him for help and provide the essential things that they require.

>He fought and solved the issues regarding widows, Handicapped, and Old age pensions.

>He came forward to help the needy who have been affected by lockdown and distributed Rice bags, vegetables to the villagers, needy ones, and Municipality workers by following the precautions.

>Food item packets for drivers and migrant laborers were distributed whose livelihood has been affected during this lockdown period.

>He worked all days(Day and Night) during the Covid period and looked after the people. He is constantly available mainly to the poorest people in the zone.
