Chamaluru Rajagopal

Chamaluru Rajagopal is the SC Cell State General Secretary from the YSRCP. He strongly believes that a leader is someone who demonstrates what is possible. Rajagopal, who has been in politics for over more than 10 years and is a loyal supporter of the people, has built a good reputation among the people.

Born and Education:

He was born on 10th April 1981 to the couple Aswarthu and Obulamma in Chamaluru village.

In 1997, Rajagopal earned his Board of Secondary Education at Govt high School located at Narpala. He completed Intermediate from Govt junior college. In 2003, Rajagopal attained his Graduation with a Degree from Arts degree college, Anantapur. Then after he gets into higher education with his Masters. He received MA from SK University, Anantapur. From 2007-2009, Rajagopal acquired B.Ed from the same university.

A career in Politics:

Rajagopal officially entered into Politics with the Praja Rajyam Party(PRP) in 2008. He was elected as District General Secretary in 2019. Due to certain circumstances, Rajagopal took a break from Politics for 3 years.

In the year 2014, Rajagopal re-entered into Politics. He founded the SC Welfare Society and he was the Founding President of it. Rajagopal fought hard for SC Welfare. He fought tirelessly to give them the government schemes they deserved.

Rajagopal conducted a one-day workshop on behalf of the Vijayawada government during the visit of CM Jagan in 2020. Home Minister Sucharitha, Social Welfare Minister Vishwaroop, Women’s Commission chairperson Vasireddy Padma, High Court Chief Justice Praveen Kumar, SC Corporation Chairman Gandham Chandradu, Commission Chairman Chellaya, 5 members Principal Secretaries were present on the occasion. Rajagopal demanded rehabilitation for depressed women. In response to his proposal leaders said that 200 crores will be given on behalf of the government.

“Rajagopal follows the policy of Jagan’s – Going forward without hesitation no matter how many difficulties come”. Inspired by him Rajagopal joined Yuvajana Shramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) on January 6, 2019. CM Jagan welcomed Rajagopal to join the YSRCP while wearing a scarf. Within a short period of time, he was recognized as Public Leader. The party officials appointed him SC Cell State General Secretary in recognition of his outstanding performance and valuable contribution to society.

He become an Party Activist and took part in “Gadapa Gadapa ki YSR” program, he made people aware of YSRCP schemes such as Jagananna Amma Vodi, Jagananna Chedodu, Jagananna Vidya Kanuka, Illa Pattalu, YSR Arogya scheme, YSR Bima, YSR Pension Kanuka, YSR Rythu Bharosa, YSR Sunna Vaddi Pathakam, YSR Vahana Mitra etc. He made the Navaratnalu scheme available to everyone. He gave his contributions to Samaikyandhra Movement, for Special Status, also took part in Y.S Jagan’s, Y.S Sharmila’s Padayatra.

Rajagopal’s wife Chamaluru Haritha, who saw her husband’s fame and prestige in politics, also wanted to get into politics. She was appointed and served as State Chairman of AP Nataka Academy.

Rajagopal’s struggle for the welfare of oppressed women:

On the Basivini, Dewadasi, Jogini, Mathangi systems, Rajagopal fought at the state level to address women’s issues. He made a 6 Day Padayatra with 3000 members from Rayadurg to Anantapur Collectorate. CM Chandrababu Naidu questioned Rajagopal about what is going on when the Collectorate was under siege. Rajagopal said the situation of depressed women was worse and their lives needed to change. Rajagopal fought to rehabilitate women who were languishing in a depressing system, to give them pensions regardless of age, to give them 3 acres of land, and to give their children free education.

Pensions are given only up to Anantapur District. Apart from that, Rajagopal has taken up the issue of granting pensions at the state level under the government of Ashwaddama Naidu. He demanded that the 1989 “Ankita Nishedha Chattam” should be implemented successfully.

Rajagopal ‘s contribution during Covid First Wave:

-Rajagopal provided his service during the covid tough time also. He distributes Covid kits to the village people.  Provided essential commodities, Masks, Sanitizers to the village and poor people.

-Provided food packets, water bottles to the migrants, arranges buses to go to their villages.

-He provided free food service to the municipal, police, front-line workers who worked a lot during Pandemic Covid-19.

-Conducted awareness programs to prevent Covid-19. Gave financial assistance to Covid-19 victims.

-When beds are not available for patients in covid time, Rajagopal talks directly with the doctors and sets up the beds. He provided essentials to Basivini, Dewadasi, Jogini, Mathangi for nearly 2000 members.

-Distributes Rice, Vegetables to the Masks, Sanitizers to the Covid victims, and to the village people.

-He says covid-19 can be conquered with courage and corona victims should not lose courage.

-Provided a packet of rice, pulihora, water packets, Masks, Sanitizers in the lockdown time to the poor and the elderly who live near the parks on the road cannot find anything to eat.

-Rajagopal told the villagers that no need to fear necessary precautions are enough for the prevention of corona.

-Organized awareness programs on precautions to be taken to prevent covid and said no need to panic.

Rajagopal’s contribution during Covid Second Wave:

-Rajagopal served even in the covid second wave. He provided essentials, masks, vegetables to the village people.

-During the Pandemic Period, he distributed fruits, food packets, and water bottles to the road siders and also distributed blankets to them.

-Created awareness on the maintenance of Physical distance and following precautionary measures to prevent the epidemic in Corona.

-He distributed food and rice bags to the migrants and also contributed to them financially.

-Sodium hypochlorite solution was sprayed all over the village for the safety of the village.

-Awareness camps and seminars were organized on the Covid-19 vaccine and about the effects of the virus.

-Rajagopal distributed vegetables and fruits to the village people and needy people in the covid-19 lockdown period.

-Conducted Annadhanam Program for migrates which is served and satisfied many hungry people.

-Arranged oxygen cylinders for the covid victims and saved many lives.
