Suragala Uma Maheswara Rao

Suragala Uma Maheswara Rao is the State General Secretary of SC Morcha, Andhra Pradesh from the BJP.

He was born on 20-10-1973 to Late Suragala Simhachalam and Sundharamma.

Education Background

He studied SSC at SSB high school and completed Intermediate from Govt junior college. Uma Maheswara Rao completed his Graduation from Venkateswara degree college. He received his Post Graduation degree in Sociology from Andhra University. Uma Maheswara Rao attained LLB from CR law college.

Uma Maheswara Rao has a Business of Real Estate and Wines and worked in Hotel as a Supplier for 1 year.

Political Career

In 2000, Uma Maheswara Rao entered into Active Politics with the Telugu Desam Party(TDP) intending to serve people. He was elected as Town Youth President, Parvathipuram, and worked from 2000-2003. From 2003-2005, he was the District General Secretary of Vizianagaram from the TDP.

Uma Maheswara Rao left the TDP and joined the Praja Rajyam Party(PRP) in 2009 in the same year he was appointed as State President of SC Cell and Constituency Incharge. Uma Maheswara Rao no longer served in the PRP he resigned from the PRP along with Polit Beuro Member Ramachandraiah and Kala Venkate and in 2011 joined the YSRCP under the auspicious of them.

In 2011, Uma Maheswara Rao was appointed as State Secretary of SC Cell, Andhra Pradesh. His constant attention promoted him as Incharge Convenor of Constituency, Parvathipuram in 2012. In 2019, He re-joined the TDP in which he worked for a long time. Uma Maheswara Rao becomes Senior Leader of TDP.

In 2021, Uma Maheswara Rao joined the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP). He contested as MLA from the Parvathipuram constituency. Uma Maheswara was appointed as State General Secretary of SC Morcha, Andhra Pradesh from the BJP and Constituency Incharge.

Recent Activities:

• He helped the old and poor people in the village by providing the essentials for survival and assisting them during the financial crises.
• Every year during national festivals like Republic Day and Independence day, Uma Maheswara Rao conducts and attends the programs in the schools and distributed prizes to the students who actively participated and won in the sports.
• Every year he Distributed books, pens, and clothes to poor children for their higher education and also helped them financially for their bright future.
• He extended his services by assisting poor people who are deeply affected by the assassination of their families by donating a certain amount for their well-being.
• Money was donated to the families of the poor during the wedding to support their families financially.

Pandemic Services:

• Uma Maheswara Rao came forward to help the needy who have been affected by lockdown and distributed vegetables and fruits to the villagers,  needy ones, and Municipality workers by following the precautions.
• Food item packets for drivers and migrant laborers were distributed whose livelihood has been affected during this lockdown period.
• Uma Maheswara Rao came forward with humanity to help those in dire straits during the corona and provide financial assistance to the people who are affected by the lockdown.
• He apportioned Masks, Sanitizers, and food to the poor and also contributed to them financially.
• To spread awareness about social distancing and following precautionary measures to prevent the Epidemic Corona an awareness program has been conducted.
• As part of the drive to eradicate the corona epidemic, Sodium hypochlorite solution was sprayed all over the village for safety of the village.
• He worked all days(Day and Night) during the covid period and looked after the people.
• He is constantly available mainly to the poorest people in the zone.
