Lekkala Srinivas

 

Lekkala Srinivas is the District Youth President of Visakhapatnam in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh from the Political Party Lok Satta Party.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION:

On the 25th of June 1989, Srinivas was born in Venkatarajupuram Village in Devarapalle Mandal of Visakhapatnam District to the couple Mr. Lekkala Demudu and Mrs.Lekkala Demudamma.

In the year 2005, Srinivas studied his Secondary School of Education at Zilla Parishad High School located at Kasipuram village in Devarapalle Mandal and completed his Undergraduate course at Adarsh Junior College situated at Kakinada in 2007.

Srinivas attained his Graduation Course of (BPT)Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan University placed at Bhopal in 2019. Later on, he extended his education by acquiring his master’s in Orthopaedic Physiotherapy(MPT) in Madhya Pradesh in 2022.

EARLY CAREER IN POLITICS:

He had a significant interest in politics at an early age, and his passion molded him into a politician who intended to provide happiness to the people through his service.

Srinivas engaged in active politics after earning his undergraduate degree in 2007 through the Lok Satta Party(LSP), which was started by Nagabhairava Jaya Prakash Narayana, a former I.A.S. officer and notable activist from Andhra Pradesh.

Because of the efforts being made for the development of the party, In the year 2007, the party offered him the post of Mandal Youth Convener from LSP, and discharged his duties by being very cautious while performing the activities of the Party.

In the year 2008, The party not only advanced him to the position of District Youth President of Visakhapatnam from LSP in honor of his sustained dedication but also enhanced his responsibilities to discharge for the people’s well-being till date.

Recognizing Srinivas’s services to the people, he was appointed as the Constituency President of Gajuwaka from the Lok Satta party in 2014 to empower him to fulfill his obligations and tackle the issues.

In the year 2016, he has been appointed in the admirable designation as State General Council Member from LSP for his pure determination and sincerity towards the work.

He has worked diligently for the prosperity of the community since the dawn of his career in politics, constantly working for the party’s and society’s prosperity and offering passionate service to society through the positions he has been entrusted to.

During elections, he actively participates in the door-to-door campaign and works hard to bring in more Democrats to help the candidates win in his community.

Many party development programs were carried out in the village to help the party grow, and he courteously accepts the work assigned by higher authorities and is totally immersed in remedying any issues raised on any topic.

PROFESSIONAL LIFE:

Soon after receiving his graduation certificate, Srinivas began his Professional career by setting up a Pharmaceutical Business in the year 2009. On the one hand, he was continuing his Professional work and on the other hand, he was handling his family responsibilities.

Welfare Activities:

• He always fights against anti-corruption. He said that making money in terms of corruption is a disgrace to our country that such money is equivalent to scrap paper and that those who make money in such a corrupt manner do not deserve respect in society.
• In the year 2016, Srinivas established Library in his village and made all types of books available to the school and college students.
• In 2016, Srinivas shut down pipelines worth Rs 300 crore as part of a project to divert water from the Raiwada Reservoir project, which will be built across the Sharada River near Devarapalle village to provide irrigation to farmers’ crop fields.
• In the Indiramma Andhra Pradesh mass housing program that benefits people living in rural areas, Srinivas spotted contractors selling high-quality 1200 bags of cement outside at high rates and handed them over to the Anti-Corruption Bureau Work Inspector.
• In Indiramma Andhra Pradesh, a mass housing program that benefits people living in rural areas, contractors have spotted people selling corruptly 1200 bags of cement outside at high rates, and Srinivas has taken them to the Anti-Corruption Bureau Work Inspector and suspended the assistant engineers.
• Srinivas disclosed the allegations of corruption in the Bill Tax Collections and handed them over to the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
• Srinivas noticed that the head consultants on duty in the Anti-Corruption Bureau were taking huge bribes from the public, and he immediately contacted the ACB and explained the matter and fired the bribe-takers.
• V.R.O was caught while accepting the Rs 200 crore for corruption and Srinivasa took him to the Anti-Corruption Bureau and he was sentenced to prison.
• Srinivas argued that the gas agency was selling gas cylinders worth Rs 2,000 to the public for Rs 5,000 and 2700 people were given gas connections for Rs 2,000. Srinivas urged the ACB officials to take stern action against those who set up unauthorized cell towers.

Social Activities: 

• Every year on the 14th of January, on the occasion of the birthday of Lok Satta Party founder Jayaprakash Narayan, social programs are organized to serve the people.
•  Srinivas was made aware of the need to create awareness among the people for the elimination of water pollution and air pollution and to protect nature by taking proper precautions for their elimination.
•  He fought for the issues related to Handicapped Pensions, Widow Pension, Old age Pension, and also the problems of Ration Card and Health cards of the villagers. Srinivas distributed food, clothing, and Bedsheets to the Orphan Children and helped them by donating a certain amount whenever required.
• Srinivas is also working to eradicate corruption by exposing officials who are collecting money from those who are eligible for housing schemes and corruption in housing schemes.
• Srinivas has been helping those suffering from cancer not only financially but also humanitarian. Every year a blood donation camp and Health camps are set up in the colony and medicines are provided free of cost to those in need.
• Many service activities were organized such as blankets for beggars, clothes for the poor, old aged people, and food for orphaned children. Srinivas fight over every issue raised in the town and persistently worked to solve the issues.

 

Welfare activities for the Students:-

• Every year he Distributed books, pens, and clothes to poor children for their higher education and also helped them financially for their bright future.
• Srinivas fights for job reservations for students who are struggling to find a decent job after the conclusion of their education to lead their livelihood.
• Every Year On the occasion of Freedom Fighters birth anniversaries Srinivas Celebrates the occasion by recalling the services they provided to the nation.

Services to the Poor and Needy:-

•  Srinivas has set up and implemented many Social activities and served the people who are in need. He expanded his efforts by supporting poor individuals who have been badly affected by the assassination of their families, as well as by providing a set sum for the well-being of death-stricken families.
• He is constantly striving and fighting for the well-being of the people. He will assist those who come to him for help and provide the essential things that they require.
• He fought for the issues related to Handicapped Pensions, Widow Pension, Old age Pension, and also the problems of Ration Card and Health cards of the villagers.

Services rendered during the Pandemic Covid-19:

• He distributed Masks, Sanitizers, and food to the poor and also contributed to them financially. He conducted a Corona Virus awareness program and provided specific precautions to avoid the dreadful virus.
• During the first and second waves of Corona, Srinivas assisted those who were affected by the lockdown by offering financial and humanitarian aid.
• He is indeed available, notably to the zone’s poorest inhabitants. At the hospital, Srinivas also began offering masks and sanitizers to men suffering from corona deprivation symptoms.
• For families who do not even have the essentials to eat at home in the corona-infected quarantine distributed essentials for them. A total of 346 Covid victims who were in critical condition were rescued by Srinivas at the hospital.
• Srinivas provided oxygen to the corona victims who had very low oxygen levels by distributing oxygen cylinders free of cost.
